If you know someone's phone number, you can find that person's profile on Facebook. As long as the phone number is linked to the account, the account will be displayed when you search for this phone number. This article will teach you how to search for a phone number on Facebook using the website or mobile app.

Method 1 of 2: With Facebook.com

1. Go to https://facebook.com in an internet browser. This method works on computers, phones and tablets.
   • Log in when prompted.
2. Click on the search bar to activate the text field. This bar is at the top of the page.
3. Enter your phone number with the area code. Make sure you go on ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return press your keyboard to start this search. You can enter a phone number such as "(555) 555-5555" or "5555555555" because the format doesn't matter.
   • A single search result should appear. If you don't get a result, that person has probably set their account as private and it won't show up in the search results. It is also possible that they do not have a Facebook account linked to this phone number.
4. Click on that search result. This is the Facebook account associated with the phone number you entered.

Method 2 of 2: With the mobile app

1. Open Facebook on your phone or tablet. The app resembles a white "f" on a blue background and is usually on your home screen, among your other apps, or you can find the app by searching for it.
   • This method works for both iOS and Android phones and tablets.
2. Press the search icon Enter the number you want to find. You may need to press the test ?123 to switch to the non-alphabetic keyboard.
3. Enter the phone number including the area code. Make sure to press Enter on the keyboard to start the search. You can enter "(555) 555-5555" or "5555555555", the size doesn't matter.
   • A single search result should appear. If you don't get a result, that person has probably set their account as private and it won't show up in the search results.
4. Tap that search result. This is the Facebook account associated with the phone number you entered.
