You can treat yourself to a grilled steak on a weekday, but you can also save it for a special occasion (because we all know love goes through the stomach). Grilling a steak in the oven is a good way to prepare steak, especially if you don't have access to a barbecue. The advantage of a grill over a barbecue is the constant temperature, and of course the fact that you can prepare the steak inside.

Tips
- Turn the steak only once. Let it cook on one side first, then on the other.
- If the element keeps turning off because the oven is at the right temperature, you can leave the oven door slightly open. Many ovens have a special function for this: open the door and feel if it remains firmly ajar. If not, you can roll up some aluminum foil into a cylinder, insert it between the oven door - but only touch it with an oven mitt as it can get really hot!
Warnings
- Discard any excess marinade immediately, don't be tempted to use the raw marinade as a sauce (the marinade has been in contact with the raw meat, which can make you sick).
- Always wash your hands and sanitize your work surface after working with raw meat.
- Always use oven gloves when moving an oven rack or baking dish.
