Spaghetti is a delicious meal that you can make with just a few simple ingredients, and it's perfect for a family dinner or a party. This article teaches you how to make a quick Italian spaghetti, so that you have a few tasty plates of pasta on the table in no time.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of minced meat or Italian sausages in pieces of 2 cm (optional)
  • 2 cans of peeled tomatoes
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of dried parsley, or a handful of fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Olive oil
  • 500 grams of dried spaghetti
  • Optional grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
  • Optional 120 grams of mushrooms, finely chopped

To step

  1. Put a pan with 1 - 1.5 liters of water on the fire. While the water is heating, make your sauce:
  2. In another pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Fry the sausages or mince until brown (drain the fat), then add paprika and mushrooms and fry until lightly browned.
  4. Add the onion to the pan and continue to fry until all edges are brown. Add fresh garlic and cook for another minute (garlic overcooked will become bitter and lose its flavor).
  5. Add the tomatoes and herbs, stir well and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. When the water in the other pan is boiling, add the spaghetti with 1 teaspoon of salt.
  7. Stir gently all the time so that the spaghetti doesn't stick together.
  8. Let the spaghetti cook for 7-10 minutes or until it is as firm as you like (when the spaghetti is done, drain it).
  9. Mix the spaghetti with the sauce and serve immediately.

Tips

  • You can serve with a green salad or warm garlic bread.
  • If you prefer ground turkey or chicken, stir in 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce before cooking to enhance the flavor.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese is the perfect addition to this dish.

Warnings

  • Don't use too heavy meat unless the sauce is very thick, otherwise it will drown out this dish.
