Whether you're looking for a creative alternative to traditional typefaces, or want to create a font that resembles your handwriting, you can very easily learn how to create a typeface for your own use or within a business context that is unique to you, your personality and your style.

1. Determine whether you want to make the font digitally or traditionally. For those who can digitally create a font, you usually have a stylus and a drawing pad, and can draw the letters freehand with the stylus. If you have to rely on more traditional methods, use good paper and a black marker.

• Start with the letters HAMBURGEVONS. You can adjust these to make any letter of the alphabet. For example, you can turn an "E" into an "F" by removing the bottom horizontal line. By removing the horizontal line and a small part of the right curve of the letter "G" you can make the letter "C", etc.
