The "Like" button is a great way to show others what bands, TV shows or charities you support. The disadvantage is that your news overview will soon be completely filled with messages. If you are fed up and want to simplify your Facebook life, it is high time you stopped liking some pages. In this article, we'll tell you how to do that.

Method 1 of 2: Method 1: Stop liking Facebook pages

1. Open the page you don't want to like anymore. Click on the desired page in your news feed, or search for the page in the search box at the top of the home page.
2. Click on the "Like" button. This button is located at the top of the page you are viewing, next to the page name. If you scroll down, the button will remain visible at the top.
3. Click on "I don't like anymore". Facebook is now asking for confirmation. When the process is complete, you will no longer receive news items from this page in your news feed.

Method 2 of 2: Method 2: Using the activity log

1. Open your activity log. The activity log is the easiest way to see all the pages you like in one place. Click the privacy shortcuts icon at the top right of the page. That's the icon next to the gear icon.
   • Click on "View more settings".
   • Click the "Use Activity Log" link in the "Who Can See My Content?" Section.
   • You can also access your activity log by opening your profile and clicking the "Activity Log" button.
2. Click "Likes" in the menu on the left. Two options will now appear: "Pages and Interests" and "Posts and Comments". Click on "Pages and interests".
   • Refresh the page in the browser if the options do not appear.
3. Look for the pages you don't like anymore. In the main window you will see a chronological list of pages you like. Scroll down to see all pages.
4. Click the pencil icon next to the page you no longer like. Select "I don't like anymore". Facebook is now asking for confirmation. When the process is complete, you will no longer receive news items from this page in your news feed.

Tips

• A handy toolbar with which you can like and dislike pages is the Bing toolbar. Even pages that don't have a "Like" button can be liked or disliked with this toolbar.
