The Tree Pose, or Vrksasana, is a yoga posture that helps you improve your balance and mental focus. It can also help strengthen the muscles in your legs and core.In this position, the lower body acts as support for the upper body because the body assumes an elegant and powerful posture.
To step
Part 1 of 3: Getting the pose
Stand in the Mountain Pose. Your back should be straight and your feet aligned with the outside of your hips. Keep your hands at your sides.
Tips
- Try not to lock the knee of your supporting leg as this can be bad for the joint. Rather, make sure your knee is slightly bent.
- Don't be afraid to get out of position. If this happens, just get back into the correct position.
