DeviantArt requires users to be at least 18 years old to view adult content such as nudity or depictions of violence. If the age associated with your account is over 18 and you still cannot view adult content, you must enable the feature in the Android app or on DeviantArt.com. You may need to create a new account over the age of 18 to use this feature. This article will teach you how to update your DevianArt account settings so that you can view adult content on your computer, phone or tablet.

Method 1 of 3: With the app for Android

1. Open the DeviantArt app on your Android. It is a black icon with a green symbol that somewhat resembles a "z" with an extra long line through it.
   • If you are not logged in, press "Login" in the top right corner and log in with the username and password associated with your account. If you don't already have an account with a registered age of 18 or older, read Creating a New Adult Account.
   • By App Store standards, the iPhone and iPad versions of the app do not have the option to view adult content. Read this method to learn how to make the change in your browser.
2. Tap your profile picture in the top right corner of the app. If you have not selected a profile picture, press the icon that resembles a person.
3. Tap the gear icon near the top right corner of the screen.
4. Tap the switch next to "View adult content". This is at the bottom of the settings menu. Now you can view adult content in the DevianArt mobile app on your Android.

Method 2 of 3: Via DeviantArt.com in a browser

1. surf to https://www.deviantart.com in a browser. You can use any internet browser on your phone, computer or tablet to access DeviantArt. If you are not signed in, click the Sign Up option at the top right of the page to do so now.
   • By App Store standards, the iPhone and iPad versions of the app do not have the option to view adult content.
   • If the birthday you entered when creating the account does not make you older than 18, the option to enable adult content will not be available. The only way to get around the adult filter is to create a new account and enter a birthday that makes you 18 or older. Read this method to learn how.
2. Click or press your profile picture at the top right of the page. If you have not selected a profile picture for your account, press the picture that resembles a person.
3. Click or press the circle next to "Show adult content". This is at the bottom of the menu. This will add a check mark to the circle, allowing you to view adult content on DeviantArt from now on.

Method 3 of 3: Create a new adult account

1. surf to https://www.deviantart.com in a browser. If you can't find the option to enable adult content on DeviantArt's website or in the app for Android, then your account is probably set to under 18. This method will help create a new adult account that will you can use to watch adult content. You can use any internet browser on your phone, computer or tablet to create a new account.
   • If you are automatically logged in to your current account, you must log out before you can create a new account. To log out, click or tap on your profile picture in the top right corner and select "Log Out".
2. Click on the profile icon. This looks like the outline of a person and is in the top right corner of the page.
3. click on Join DevantArt. This is roughly in the middle of the menu.
4. Enter a new username. You can use any username that has not yet been taken. If you see red text it means the username has already been taken, so try something else.
5. Enter and confirm your email address. Enter your email address exactly in both the "Add your email" and "Confirm your email" fields. Make sure to choose an address that you can access immediately, as you will need to confirm your account.
6. Choose a password. Make sure to choose a strong password with a combination of letters, numbers and special characters.
7. Select a birthday that makes you older than 18. Use the "Month", "Day" and "Year" drop-down menus to select a birthday. Because DeviantArt cannot confirm your birthday, you can choose any birthday.
8. Click or press the button Next one at the bottom of the page. This will send a confirmation message to your email address.
9. Open the verification email. Find the email from DeviantArt. You may have to click "Social", "Advertising", "Trash", or "Spam" to find the email.
   • If you cannot find the confirmation email, press the option to send a new confirmation email. This is stated on the registration page of DevianArt.
10. Press the button Confirm my email. This will take you to a login screen, where you will be asked to log in with the new password and the new username you created.
11. Sign up with your new adult account. Signing up will validate your email address and allow you to make changes to your account, such as setting the option to bypass the adult filter.
12. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the page. If you have not selected a profile picture for your account, press the picture that resembles a person.
13. Click or press the circle next to "Show adult content". This is at the bottom of the menu. This will add a check mark to the circle, allowing you to view adult content on DeviantArt from now on.

Tips

• You can also try searching online for the title of a post and the username of the creator. The mini image will sometimes be displayed in this way. You can also search for the artist's personal website.
