This wikiHow teaches you how to tell if your Windows PC's hard drive is an SSD (Solid State Drive) or an HDD (Hard Disk Drive).
To step
Press ⊞ Win+S.. This will open the Windows search bar. 
Type Optimize. A list of search results will appear. 
click on Defragment and optimize drives. This should be the first search result. This opens the "Optimize Stations" pane. 
Determine your disc type under "Media Type". If you have multiple drives in your computer, they will all be listed separately.
