Disneyland Paris is the most visited amusement park in Europe, located 5262 km and only 32 km east of Paris. The amusement park is easily accessible by plane, train and car.

To step

Method 1 of 3: Arrive by train

  1. Find the nearest metro or RER station. The RER (Réseau Express Régional) is a network of express trains that run from central Paris to the suburbs. There are 16 metro lines and 5 RER lines that run through Paris. If there is a metro and RER station at the same distance, the RER train is probably faster because it is an express train.
    • Look for alternative trains; depending on your departure location, there may be a faster train. For example, there is a TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse, or high-speed train) that runs directly from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris.
    • There are also Eurostar trains to Disneyland Paris that leave directly from various locations in the UK.
  2. Buy a Billet Ile-de-France. You can buy these tickets at any ticket office at a metro or RER station, or at the ticket machines that you can find all over Paris. If you are traveling from the center of Paris (public transport Zone 1), this is the only ticket you need to buy.
    • A single ticket from central Paris costs less than 8 euros (in August 2018).
    • A t + ticket does NOT work for this trip because your final stop is in Zone 5; don't be frugal. You will be fined 35 euros if you have the wrong ticket for a zone.
    • Pass Navigo Decouverte is accepted.
    • Paris Visite Cards and Ticket Mobilis are ONLY accepted if they include Zone 5.
    • Jeune Weekend ticket is ONLY accepted if it includes Zone 5, AND you are under 26 and traveling on weekends or public holidays.
  3. Go to a RER A train. If the nearest RER station does not have an A train, you will need to take another RER or metro line and change to the A train. For example, if you are traveling from Charles de Gaulle Airport, take the RER B train to Paris and change to the RER A train to Marne-la-Vallée at Châtelet Les Halles station.
  4. Take the RER A train to Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy. The sign for your direction may also include Boissy-St-Legér next to Marne-la-Vallée. While waiting for your train, check that the signs above the platform have a yellow square next to Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy station.
    • If Marne la Vallée - Chessy is not mentioned on the signs, you are on the wrong side of the platform.
    • Have your ticket ready in the RER in case you need to show it to an inspector.
  5. Exit the station and walk to Disneyland Paris. The Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy stop is a two minute walk from the park entrance. Exit the RER A station and up the escalator and follow the "Sortie" signs. Use your Ile-de-France ticket at the gates when you go outside.

Method 2 of 3: Traveling by car

  1. Find directions to the park. Services like Google Maps, Yahoo Maps or Mapquest provide comprehensive directions and even guide you around traffic jams if your co-driver turns it on while you are driving. The car park is located on Boulevard de Parc, 77700 Coupvray, FR (48 ° 52′33.9 "N 2 ° 47′47.3" E).
  2. Go to France. Disneyland Paris is easy to reach from the Netherlands and Belgium if you go by car. For example, it is 400 kilometers from Breda and from Utrecht it only takes five hours to get to the park. There are several E-roads you can take, it is wise to turn well before Paris so you do not have to cross the busy Paris ring.
  3. Follow your map or planned directions to the park. There are plenty of signs on the highways to show you the way. From the north, take the A26 from Calais and change to the A4 toward Metz / Nancy if you don't see any references to the park. From the south, follow the motorway to Paris and then the signs to Disneyland Paris.
    • Some French highways are toll roads, so be prepared to pay a toll.
    • Parking is free if you stay at a Disneyland hotel, but if you stay elsewhere you have to pay.

Method 3 of 3: Traveling by plane

  1. Book a flight to Paris. If you choose an airport to fly to, it's helpful to know that both Charles de Gaulle and Orly have a 45-minute direct shuttle to Disneyland Paris, and Charles de Gaulle also has a direct TGV to the entrance of Disneyland Paris. Beauvais-Tille also has a direct shuttle that takes an hour and a half.
  2. Plan your transportation from the airport to the park. There are many options, including direct shuttles from the main airports and the direct TGV from Charles de Gaulle to the park. It is also easy to rent a car, take the train or a taxi.
  3. Find your ground transport and get in. Once you land in Paris, your shuttle service provider will give you directions where to find the bus. If you are renting a car, follow the signs at the airport to find the correct car rental desk to complete your reservation. If you have chosen the train, there are signs directing you to the RER or TGV (only on Charles de Gaulle) after you have collected your luggage.

Tips

  • Disneyland Paris offers packages that combine travel and hotel that might save you some money.
  • Do not hesitate to ask locals for directions to the metro stations or the correct platform. Then do that in French if possible.
  • If you can't handle the ticket machines, go to a ticket booth at a metro or RER station. Tell them you want to go to Disneyland Paris and they will know what to do.
