This wikiHow teaches you how to see who is connected to your Android device's active Wi-Fi hotspot from the notification bar or the Settings app.

Method 1 of 2: Notification bar

1. Create a mobile hotspot on your device.
2. Swipe down from the top of the screen.
3. Tap on Tethering or mobile HotSpot active .
4. Scroll down and view the connected users. The connected devices and their MAC addresses are listed under the "Connected Users" section.
   • To block a device from your HotSpot, tap TO BLOCK next to the device that you want to prevent from using your device's data connection.

1. Create a mobile hotspot on your device.
2. Open the Tap on Wireless & networks.
3. Tap on ⋯ More.
4. Tap on Mobile HotSpot and Tethering.
5. Tap on Mobile HotSpot settings.
6. View the connected users. The connected devices and their MAC addresses are listed under the "Connected Users" section.
   • To block a device from your HotSpot, tap TO BLOCK next to the device that you want to prevent from using your device's data connection.
