This wikiHow teaches you how to see who is connected to your Android device's active Wi-Fi hotspot from the notification bar or the Settings app.
To step
Method 1 of 2: Notification bar
Create a mobile hotspot on your device.
Swipe down from the top of the screen.
Tap on Tethering or mobile HotSpot active .
Scroll down and view the connected users. The connected devices and their MAC addresses are listed under the "Connected Users" section.
- To block a device from your HotSpot, tap TO BLOCK next to the device that you want to prevent from using your device's data connection.
Method 2 of 2: Settings
Create a mobile hotspot on your device.
Open the
Tap on Wireless & networks.
Tap on ⋯ More.
Tap on Mobile HotSpot and Tethering.
Tap on Mobile HotSpot settings.
View the connected users. The connected devices and their MAC addresses are listed under the "Connected Users" section.
- To block a device from your HotSpot, tap TO BLOCK next to the device that you want to prevent from using your device's data connection.
