This article will teach you how to block YouTube users from commenting and subscribing to your channel. You can block a user directly via a comment or you can choose to block users via your list of subscribers.

Method 1 of 2: Block through a response

1. Log in to YouTube. If you are using a computer, go to https://www.youtube.com and log in to your account. If you are using the mobile app, press the red rectangular icon with a white triangle inside to launch YouTube.
2. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
3. Select My channel. This will display the content of your channel.
4. Select the video that the user commented on. Comments to a video appear below.
5. Block the user on the channel. To prevent someone who responds from subscribing to your channel and / or leaving comments in the future, follow these steps:
   • "On a computer:" "Click" ⁝ "next to the user's response and then click" Hide user from channel ".
   • "On a phone or tablet:" Press the user's profile picture, press "⁝" in the top right corner of the profile, then press "Block User".

Method 2 of 2: Block on the list of subscribers

1. Sign up at https://www.youtube.com. If you are not already signed in with your Google account, click "SIGN IN" in the top right corner of the screen to sign in now.
   • You cannot access your subscriber list while using the mobile version of the YouTube app.
2. Click your profile picture in the top right corner. This will open the menu.
3. click on My channel at the bottom of the menu.
4. click on CHANNEL ADJUST. This is one of the blue buttons near the top right corner of your profile.
5. click on (number of) subscribers in the top left corner of the page, above your channel image. This will display a list of users who have subscribed to your channel.
   • Only subscribers who make their subscription public will be displayed on this page. There is no way to show subscribers hiding their subscriptions.
6. Click on the name of the subscriber you want to remove. This will take you to that subscriber's channel.
7. Click on the tab About at the top right of the subscriber's page.
8. Click the flag icon under the "Statistics" heading in the rightmost column. A menu will appear.
9. click on Block user. This will remove the users from your subscriber list and prevent them from communicating with you. Blocked users will not be able to comment on your videos.
