The Ebony Blade is a long, two-handed katana that can be obtained by completing The Door That Whispers quest. It becomes available after you reach level 20 in the Skyrim game. After completing the Dragon in the Sky quest, you can find the Ebony Blade at the lower level of Dragon's Reach in Whiterun.

Steps

1. 1 Make sure you have at least two wooden plates in your inventory. Wooden plates work like a Skeleton Key, that is, with their help you can go through locked or hidden gates, as well as go into the same rooms in the Skyrim game.
   • If you don't have wooden plates, head to Riverwood and enter the second house on the right. There is a table on the second floor where you can get wooden plates that are suitable for this task.
2. 2 Open the map and use the fast travel system to move to Dragon's Reach. The desired house is located in the north of Whiterun in the Cloud District, you can get there on foot or by carriage.
3. 3 Climb the stairs, enter Dragon's Reach, and then into the room to the left.
4. 4 Cross the room and go down the stairs to the basement.
5. 5 Enter the storage room on the left and close the door behind you. This will prevent other characters who are in Dragon's Reach from seeing your character and interfering with him.
6. 6 Stand near the opposite wall door. You may need to double jump to stand in the corner between the wall and the grain bags. The goal is to place the character next to the wall in order to get to the secret room on the other side of the wall.
7. 7 Throw a wooden plate in front of you, then let the character pick up the object.
8. 8 Hold the plate straight in front of you, then "walk" through it. The wooden plate serves as a portal that will take you to a secret room on the other side of the wall. When you enter the room, you will see an Ebony Blade on the table.
9. 9 Go to the table and pick up the Ebony Blade. The blade is now added to your inventory.
10. 10 Place the character against the wall through which you will again fall into the pantry.
11. 11 Repeat steps # 7 and # 8 using the second wooden plate to return to the pantry. You now have the Ebony Blade and can continue the quest.

Warnings

• Don't try to get the Ebony Blade until you have two wooden plates. Otherwise, you will be stuck in a secret room with no way out, even though you now have the Ebony Blade.
