In this article, we'll show you how to embed images in your Facebook posts and comments.

Method 1 of 3: How to create an image post

1. 1 Open Facebook. On your mobile device, tap the white “f” icon on a blue background; this icon is on the home screen (iPhone / iPad) or the app drawer (Android). On your computer, go to https://www.facebook.com and log in with your username and password.
2. 2 Click What's new?.
   • If you are posting on someone else's page, click "Write a friend's name>" at the top of the page.
3. 3 Click Photo / Video. This option is below the text box.
4. 4 Select an image.
   • On a mobile device: Tap the photo you want, then tap Done in the upper right corner. To select multiple photos, tap each one.
   • On a computer: Click on the desired photo and then click “Open” in the lower right corner. To select multiple photos, hold Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ Command (Mac) and click on each desired image.
5. 5 Click Publish. The post with a photo will appear on the Facebook page.

Method 2 of 3: How to insert an image into a comment

1. 1 Open Facebook. On your mobile device, tap the white “f” icon on a blue background; this icon is on the home screen (iPhone / iPad) or the app drawer (Android). On your computer, go to https://www.facebook.com and log in with your username and password.
   • Use this method to add your comment with a picture to someone else's post.
2. 2 Find the post you want to comment on. Do this in your timeline or news feed.
   • If you can't find a post, enter your username in the search bar at the top of the screen to find a person's profile (it's much easier to find a post in a profile).
3. 3 Click Write a comment. This text box is under the post comments.
4. 4 Enter your comment. If you only want to add a picture (no text), skip this step.
5. 5 Click on the "Photos" icon. It looks like a camera and is on the right in the text box.
6. 6 Select a photo.
   • On a mobile device: Tap the photo you want, then tap Done in the upper right corner.
   • On a computer: Click on the desired photo and then click “Open” in the lower right corner.
7. 7 Post a comment with a picture. On your computer, click ⏎ Return (Mac) or ↵ Enter (Windows). On your mobile device, tap the Send icon in the lower-right corner (this icon looks like a paper airplane). The photo will appear in the comments.

Method 3 of 3: How to edit a post to include an image in it

1. 1 Open Facebook. On your mobile device, tap the white “f” icon on a blue background; this icon is on the home screen (iPhone / iPad) or the app drawer (Android). On your computer, go to https://www.facebook.com and log in with your username and password.
   • Use this method if you've already posted something on your timeline and want to add a photo to your post.
2. 2 Find the publication you want. You can do this in your chronicle, in which all publications are sorted in descending order of publication date. To open the timeline, click on the profile picture in the upper left corner of the page.
3. 3 Click the arrow icon in the upper right corner of the post.
4. 4 Select Edit.
5. 5 Click Photo / Video. On a computer, this option is marked with a camera-shaped icon in the lower-left corner of the publication.
6. 6 Select a photo.
   • On a mobile device: Tap the photo you want, then tap Done in the upper right corner. To select multiple photos, tap each one.
   • On a computer: Click on the desired photo and then click “Open” in the lower right corner. To select multiple photos, hold Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ Command (Mac) and click on each desired image.
7. 7 Click Publish. On a mobile device, this option is in the upper right corner. The image will be added to the post.
