Snow White is one of the most beloved characters in animation history. Appearing in 1937 in the first animated Disney feature film, she was also the first Disney princess.If you want to follow the lead of her iconic image, here's how to do it so convincingly that you can earn yourself a kiss from a prince. (However, it might be worth keeping away from the apple peddlers.)

Method 1 of 2: Traditional Snow White

1. 1 Find clothes. For a classic, traditional look, buy or have an outfit similar to the one Snow White is wearing in the photo above, including:
   • Dress with a fluffy, cream or yellow toe-length skirt; blue bodice with a deep rounded neckline; short sleeves in blue and red slit; and a tall, stiff white collar. The bodice has a thin, vertical gold ribbon at the bottom center.
   • White petticoat with lace trim or ruffles.
   • Red (or neutral) low-heeled pumps with matching bows.
   • Blue cape lined with red (optional).
2. 2 Style your hair. Snow White's hair is described as "raven black". This is a chin-length layered bob with soft waves, split down the center. She wears a red ribbon tied in a bow on her head.
   • If you are already a brunette with chin-length hair, add curls, comb lightly to create soft waves, split in the center and add a ribbon.
   • If not, either cut, dye and style your hair to look like Snow White, or buy a wig.
   • In some modern depictions, Snow White is shown with a tiara instead of a bow. Both will do.
3. 3 Apply makeup. Snow White's complexion is "white as snow" and her lips are "red as a rose." She has dark eyebrows, long eyelashes and rosy cheeks.
   • Apply a pale foundation and a layer of a suitable powder for the porcelain look.
   • Apply some rosy blush to your cheekbones.
   • If your eyebrows are light, use an eyebrow pencil to darken them.
   • Apply a neutral colored eye shadow to your eyelids. Line up the upper and lower eyelids with a black pencil.
   • Use mascara to lengthen and darken your lashes.
   • Line your lips with a red or neutral lip liner, and fill in with a deep red matte lipstick.
4. 4 Embrace her personality traits. Snow White is polite, cheerful, helpful and kind. She is also very feminine and real. If you want to adopt a style other than just the look, here's how.
   • Snow White is always fun no matter what. She is able to dream of meeting the prince even when she works as a humble servant in the kitchen. To achieve this on your own, look to the bright side as often as you can. Like Snow White, sing or purr as you work. Remember to smile often!
   • Be helpful to others when you can. Keep the door open, pick up what someone dropped, stay to help clean up after dinner or a party. Ask friends and family, "What can I do to help?"
