If you are unable to reach someone on WhatsApp, the user may have blocked you. While there is no exact way to determine if you are blocked (WhatsApp makes it difficult for privacy reasons), there are some signs that can confirm your suspicions. In this article, we'll show you how to find signs that you've been blocked on WhatsApp.

Steps

1. 1 Launch WhatsApp. Click on the icon that looks like a white telephone receiver with a green speech cloud in the background.
2. 2 Tap Chat rooms. It's at the bottom of the screen. A list of your conversations will be displayed.
3. 3 Click on the conversation with the person who, in your opinion, blocked you. The correspondence will open.
4. 4 Check if the user is online. If the WhatsApp application is running on the user's device and you are not blocked, the word "Online" will be displayed at the top of the conversation. If the specified word is not present, it means one of two things: at the moment the WhatsApp application is not running on the user's device, or he has blocked you.
5. 5 Find out when the user last appeared on WhatsApp. If the user is not currently online, the top of the chat may display "Was (s)" with the date and time the user was last seen on WhatsAppp. If this information is not available, it is likely that the user has disabled it for privacy reasons. It may also indicate that you have been blocked.
6. 6 Look for the two check marks next to the message you sent. When you send a message to a contact who has not blocked you, two checkmarks are displayed to the right of the timestamp - one checkmark indicates the message has been sent and the other indicates that it has been delivered. If there is no second checkmark, you may have been blocked. However, this could also mean that the user's smartphone is turned off or that the user has deleted the WhatsApp application.
7. 7 Pay attention to the changes in your profile. Click on a person's name in the chat to view their profile. If you are blocked, you will not see the changes in the user profile. If you have reason to believe that this user has changed their status or profile photo, but you do not see such changes, you may have been blocked.
8. 8 Try to call the user. Tap the handset icon in the upper right corner of the chat to start a voice call. If there is no call, the user has probably blocked you. However, this could also mean that the user has disabled voice calls in their privacy settings.

Tips

• If you block a user on WhatsApp, you will not be removed from their contacts, and they will not be removed from your contacts.
• The only way to remove a user from your contacts is to physically remove them from your address book.
