It's impossible to know for sure that your number was blocked in Apple Messages. However, there are ways to find signs that you have been blocked by looking at your message data and making test calls.

Steps

Part 1 of 3: Check the message details

1. 1 Open the Messages app. Viewing the details of a message is not as reliable as test calls. However, some information may still be useful.
2. 2 Open a conversation with the user you're interested in. Check the box under the last message sent.
3. 3 Check for a "read report" under the last message. Many users automatically have a read report turned on, so if you stop seeing the "Read ..." message under the sent messages, then this user has either blocked you or disabled this feature.
4. 4 Look for "Delivered" under the last message. If earlier, after sending messages, the inscription "Delivered" appeared under them, but now it does not, then you may have been blocked.
   • The delivery report for a message does not always appear, so this verification method is not reliable.

Part 2 of 3: Make a Call

1. 1 Call the person who you think blocked you. Calling is one of the most reliable methods to check if you have been blocked.
2. 2 Pay attention to how the call will be received. If you hear exactly one dial tone, after which you will be redirected to voicemail, then you have probably been blocked.
   • Transferring a call straight to voicemail doesn't mean you've been blocked. Perhaps the subscriber's phone simply stopped working.
3. 3 Call again to confirm the findings. If after several calls the result does not change, then this subscriber has either blocked you, or his phone has broken.
   • Users do not receive notifications about calls from a blocked number.

Part 3 of 3: Call from a hidden number

1. 1 Hide your number. Use a hidden number to check the status of the caller's phone.
2. 2 Tap the green call button. When the call starts, your contact details will not be displayed to the recipient.
3. 3 Pay attention to how the call will be received. Many people prefer not to answer calls from hidden numbers, but if you hear the usual dialing tones, then most likely your number has been blocked.
   • If, after one beep, the call is immediately redirected to voicemail, then the subscriber's phone was most likely turned off.

Warnings

• Respect everyone's privacy, even if you think you've been unfairly blocked. Your actions can be viewed as harassment, so beware of trying to contact someone who may have blocked you.
