This article will show you how to permanently delete your Facebook account. These actions cannot be performed on the Facebook mobile app.

Steps

1. 1 Go to the Facebook deletion page. Open your browser and go to https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account or enter text in the address bar and click the button ↵ Enter.
   • If you are not logged into your account automatically, enter Email or Phone and Password for your account and then click entrance... The blue button is in the middle of the page.
2. 2 Click the button Delete my account. The button is below the warning message in the middle of the page. Click the button and a pop-up window will appear.
3. 3 Enter the password again. Enter the information in the "Password" field at the top of the window.
4. 4 Pass the security check. The required text consists of letters and numbers, which are located in the middle of the window. Enter your answer in the special field below the text.
   • If you cannot read the text, then press Try another text or audio test below the code to generate new text.
5. 5 Click the button OK. This action will confirm the text input. If everything is correct, then a new pop-up window will appear.
   • If the password or verification text is specified incorrectly, then you will be asked to repeat the action.
6. 6 Click the button OKto delete the account. The button is at the bottom of the pop-up window. A complete deletion can take up to 14 days, but after this time your account will disappear from Facebook.

Tips

• Open up Settings, click Generaland then link Download a copy at the bottom of the page to download your account details.

Warnings

• After two weeks, you will no longer be able to restore your account.
• Information from your account may still be stored in Facebook databases.
