In this article, we'll show you how to prevent YouTube users from commenting on your videos and subscribing to your channel. You can block a user directly from a comment or select a user from the list of subscribers.

Method 1 of 2: How to block a user from a comment

1. 1 Open YouTube. On your computer, go to https://www.youtube.com and log in to your account. On your mobile device, tap the white triangle icon on a red background to launch the YouTube app.
2. 2 Click on your profile picture. You will find it in the upper right corner.
3. 3 Please select Your channel. The content of the channel will be displayed.
4. 4 Select a video with a user comment. The comments are below the video.
5. 5 Block the user from the channel. To prevent a user from commenting on your videos and / or subscribing to your channel, do the following:
   • On the computer - press "⁝" at the user's comment, and then press "Hide user".
   • On a mobile device - Click on the user's profile picture, tap "⁝" in the upper right corner of the user's profile, and then tap "Block user".

Method 2 of 2: How to block a user from the subscriber list

1. 1 Go to the page https://www.youtube.com. If you are not yet signed in to your Google account, click Sign In in the upper right corner, and then enter your credentials.
   • You cannot open the subscriber list in the YouTube mobile app.
2. 2 Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner. A menu will open.
3. 3 Click on Your channel. You will find this option at the top of the menu.
4. 4 Click on Customize channel view. It's in the upper-right corner of your profile.
5. 5 Click on (number of) subscribers. You will find this option in the upper left corner (above the channel image). A list of your subscribers will open.
   • The list will display only those users who do not hide that they have subscribed to your channel.
6. 6 Click on the name of the subscriber you want to remove. You will be taken to that subscriber's channel.
7. 7 Go to the tab About the channel. You will find it in the upper right corner.
8. 8 Click on the flag icon. You will find it in the Statistics section in the right pane. A menu will appear.
9. 9 Click on Block user. The user will be removed from your list of subscribers and will not be able to communicate with you. Blocked users cannot comment on your videos.
