In this article, we'll show you how to remove multiple people from your Facebook friends list at once. This cannot be done using Facebook settings, so you need to use an extension for the desktop version of Google Chrome. To remove people from your friends list one at a time, use your Facebook friends list on your computer or mobile device.

Steps

Method 1 of 3: Using a Chrome Extension

1. 1 Start Google Chrome. Click on the round green-red-yellow-blue icon.
   • If you don't have this browser on your computer, install it.
2. 2 Open the extension's web page Friend remover. It will allow you to remove several people from your friends list at once.
3. 3 Click on Install. You will find this blue button at the top of the extension's page.
4. 4 Click on Install extension. The Friend Remover extension will be installed in the Google Chrome browser.
5. 5 Open the Facebook website. To do this, go to https://www.facebook.com/. The news feed will open if you are logged in to Facebook.
   • If you are not already signed in to your Facebook account, enter your email address (or phone number) and password in the upper right corner.
6. 6 Click on the Friend Remover extension icon. It looks like a blue square with a white human silhouette and is located in the upper right corner of the browser window. A new tab will display a list of your Facebook friends.
7. 7 Highlight the friends you want to remove. Click on the corresponding names in the window on the left.
8. 8 Click on Remove friends. You will find this red button at the bottom of the page.
9. 9 Click on Remove friendswhen prompted. The selected people will be removed from your Facebook friends list.

Method 2 of 3: On Facebook on a computer

1. 1 Open the Facebook website. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ in your computer's web browser. The news feed will open if you are logged in to Facebook.
   • If you are not already signed in to your Facebook account, enter your email address and password.
2. 2 Click on the tab with your name. It's in the upper-right side of the page. Your chronicle will open.
3. 3 Click on the tab Friends. It's below the cover image at the top of the page.
4. 4 Find the person you want to remove from your friends list. To do this, scroll down the page.
5. 5 Click on Friends. It's to the right of the person's name and profile photo. A menu will open.
6. 6 Click on Remove from friends. It's near the bottom of the menu. The user will be removed from your friends list.
7. 7 Repeat this process with other users you want to remove from your friends list. Click "Friends" to the right of the name of each unnecessary user and select "Remove from friends" from the menu.

Method 3 of 3: Using the Facebook app on a mobile device

1. 1 Start Facebook. Click on the blue icon with a white "f". The news feed will open if you are logged in to Facebook.
   • If you are not already signed in to your Facebook account, enter your email address and password.
2. 2 Tap ☰. This icon is located in the lower-right corner of the screen (iPhone) or in the upper-right corner of the screen (Android). A menu will open.
3. 3 Click on Friends. This option is on the menu.
   • On an Android device, first tap Find Friends, and then tap the Friends tab in the upper-right corner of the page.
4. 4 Find the person you want to remove from your friends list. To do this, scroll down the page.
5. 5 Tap ⋮. This icon is to the right of the person's name. A menu will open.
6. 6 Click on Remove from friends. This option is on the menu.
7. 7 Tap OKwhen prompted. The user will be removed from your friends list.
   • On an Android device, tap Confirm.
8. 8 Repeat this process with other users you want to remove from your friends list. Press “⋮” to the right of the username, select “Unfavorite” from the menu and tap “OK” or “Confirm”.

Tips

• Friend Remover does not need your Facebook account credentials.

Warnings

• You cannot undo the removal of a user from your friends list - you will have to add this person to your friends list again.
