1 Finish school and attend classes at the institute. While a high school graduation certificate is the minimum requirement for most flight attendant jobs, airlines generally seek to find employees with a college degree. 
2 Specialize in specific areas such as communication, psychology, sociology, or public relations while attending college. Since the job requires good communication and interpersonal skills, an education in public relations will be an advantage. 
3 Learn to speak a foreign language such as Spanish, French, Swedish, or Japanese. Many of the current flight attendant job openings require you to speak at least one language other than English. 
4 Consider the height and weight requirements of most airlines. You will not be weighed or measured for your height, but the company must visually ensure that your height and weight are in proportion.Because the aisles are small and the flight attendants must be able to move quickly in case of an emergency, airlines generally require that the height and weight of the flight attendants be proportional. If you are within the range of a healthy weight for your height, according to your doctor, you will most likely be recognized as a suitable candidate by the company. 
5 Find out all about your health condition before submitting your candidacy. If you need to have your hearing or vision checked or corrected, do so before contacting the airline. A medical examination will be carried out, as climbing to great heights can sometimes negatively affect the state of health. Get written permission from your doctor before contacting your employer so you can present it if necessary. 
6 Apply for a passport before looking for a job with an airline. Most carriers require you to have a passport in order to freely travel to countries served by that airline. 
7 Write a resume that demonstrates your ability to interact well with people, deal with unexpected situations, help people stay calm and reasonable in difficult circumstances, and any other experience that shows that you can interact with strangers on a daily basis.
8 Be honest about your previous activities. The airline will conduct its own thorough due diligence before hiring you. If there is any discrepancy, you will not be able to work for this airline. 
9 Search the web for the websites of various airlines and inquire about the availability of vacancies. Most commercial airlines have a job section on their pages. There you can see what kind of employees the company needs and what the basic requirements are for them. You will also learn how you can apply for a job, where to send your resume, and other necessary information.

- The airlines expect you to be familiar with the FAA regulations. Although you will be taking mandatory courses after hiring, it is helpful to be familiar with the basic rules and regulations as this information may be useful to you during your interview.

- Many commercial air carriers prohibit visible tattoos and unnecessary body piercings. If you are serious about becoming a flight attendant, you may need to have your tattoos or piercings removed before you can get a job.
