This article will show you how to create a second (secondary) Yahoo Mail email address and add it to your primary Yahoo account. That is, letters from one mailbox can be sent from two addresses. You need a computer to create an additional email address.

Steps

1. 1 Open the Yahoo website. Go to https://www.yahoo.com/. The Yahoo home page will open.
2. 2 Log into your mailbox. Click the blue envelope icon in the upper right corner, and then enter your email address and password.
   • If you've recently signed in to your account, you don't need to enter your email address and password.
3. 3 Click on Settings. This gear-shaped icon is located on the top-right side of your Yahoo mailbox. A menu will open.
4. 4 Click on Other settings. It's at the bottom of the menu.
5. 5 Go to the tab Mailboxes. You will find it on the left side of the page.
6. 6 Click on to the right of "Additional address". You will find this option in the middle of the "Mailbox Management" section.
7. 7 Click on Add. You will find this option under "Sub Address". A form for creating an email address will open on the right side of the page.
8. 8 Create an additional email address. Click on the "Email" line under "Create Mailing Address", enter a new username, and then enter "@ yahoo.com" (without the quotes).
   • For example, if you enter "ivanivanov" for the username, the email address "[email protected]" is generated.
   • You can add letters, numbers, underscores, and periods to your username (no other characters can be used).
   • Don't enter a joke email address - remember that you can only edit an alternate address twice a year.
9. 9 Click on Create. You will find this blue button below the entered email address. If the entered address is available, you will be taken to the settings page.
   • If the entered address is already taken, enter another one.
10. 10 Enter your name. Click on the "Name" line at the top of the page and enter the name that the recipients of your letters will see.
11. 11 Click on To complete. You will find this option at the bottom of the page. A second email address will be added to your account.
    • To send a letter from the second address, open the window for creating a new letter, click on the contents of the "From" line and select the second address from the menu.

Tips

• You cannot create a second email address in the Yahoo Mail mobile app, but you can select a second email address in the Yahoo Mail mobile app by tapping the From line on the New Mail page.
• The second address comes in handy to hide your primary address from specific recipients of your emails.

Warnings

• Only one additional email address can be created.
