1 Fold a square piece of paper in half diagonally, then unfold it again. Lay one of the corners towards you and fold it in half so that the top and bottom corners line up. Smooth the crease, then unfold the sheet.
  • If you don't have a square sheet of paper, take a regular rectangular sheet and use scissors to cut a square out of it.
  • 2 Fold the sheet from left to right in half diagonally, then straighten it. Fold the left corner and align it with the right corner. Smooth the crease, then straighten the sheet.
    • This will create two perpendicular folds along the diagonals of the square.
  • 3 Fold the top corner of the sheet towards the middle. As before, place the sheet with one of the corners towards you. Fold the top corner towards the middle of the sheet so that it touches the intersection of the two diagonal folds. Smooth the resulting fold.
  • 4 Fold the bottom corner to the top of the sheet. The bottom corner should touch the middle of the top edge of the paper. Smooth down the fold.
  • 5 Fold the bottom left and right corners to the top of the paper. The corners should touch the midpoint of the edge at the same point as the bottom vertex you folded in the previous step. After that, smooth out the resulting folds.
    • At this stage, the sheet of paper should resemble a heart.
  • 6 Flip the paper over and fold the corners inward. First fold the left and right corners in the middle. Then fold the top two corners inward. Do not fold the bottom corner.
    • The paper heart is ready! Flip it over again and see how it looks.
  • Method 2 of 2: Bulky Heart

    1. 1 Fold a square piece of paper in half horizontally and straighten it again. Place the paper in front of you on a flat surface with one side facing you. Fold the top side down and align it with the bottom side. Smooth the crease, then unfold the sheet.
      • If you don't have a square piece of paper, take scissors and cut a square out of a regular rectangular piece of paper.
    2. 2 Fold the sheet in half vertically, then straighten it. Fold the left edge of the paper and align it with the right edge. Smooth the crease and unfold the paper.
    3. 3 Fold a sheet of paper first along one, then along the second diagonal and straighten it again. Fold down the top left corner first and line it up with the bottom right corner. Smooth the crease and straighten the paper. Then fold the top right corner to the bottom left corner. Smooth the crease and straighten the paper.
      • After that, you should have four long folds that intersect in the center of the sheet.
    4. 4 Fold the top and bottom edges towards the center, then fold them back. Fold both edges of the sheet so that they meet in the center along the horizontal fold. Smooth down both of the folds that result, then straighten the paper.
    5. 5 Fold the left and right edges towards the center, then straighten them. Just as you did for the top and bottom edges, fold the left and right edges so that they touch in the center of the sheet. Smooth down both of the folds that result, then unfold the paper.
    6. 6 Turn the sheet over and fold the top and bottom corners towards the center. Unfold the piece of paper at an angle towards you. Fold the top corner down and the bottom corner up so that they touch each other at the crease. Smooth down the resulting folds and do not bend them.
      • The paper will then have six corners.
    7. 7 Fold all six corners towards the center and flatten the paper. Bend the left and right vertices towards the center of the sheet. Fold the top two corners at the same time along the existing diagonal folds. Do the same for the bottom two corners. Smooth down the folds and do not straighten them.
      • To flatten the paper, fold it in half horizontally with the top and bottom edges facing away from you. The fold should be facing you.
      • After you flatten the sheet, it will begin to resemble a heart.
    8. 8 Fold down and then out the left corner. Bend the left top towards you and then away from you.
      • First, fold the left corner towards the center of the paper and smooth over the resulting crease.
      • After that, straighten the corner along the fold made and fold it over the sheet. Smooth the fold again, then straighten the corner.
    9. 9 Unfold the paper with the last fold you made towards you. Grasp the sheet with both hands so that they are positioned on the sides of this fold.
    10. 10 Pull the edges of the paper until you see a square fold. This fold should be near the center of the paper where you folded the left corner two steps back.
      • You should see two perpendicular folds that intersect at the center of the square.
    11. 11 Bend the sides of the square outward, then press them together. In this case, you should bend the sides of the square away from you. After you have made four of these folds - one on each side of the square - bring the left and right sides of the square together and flatten them.
      • When you squeeze the left and right sides together, the square should fold and be inside the flattened paper. If it doesn't, press down on the center of the square with your finger.
    12. 12 Unfold the paper and fold in the three corners on the left side. Turn the paper over with the large bottom corner towards you.
      • Fold the three left corners inward so that they disappear into the folds to create rounded edges for the heart.
    13. 13 Repeat steps 8-12 for the right side of the heart. Repeat on the right half as you did on the left. Find a rectangular fold on the right side, tuck it in so it is hidden, and fold in three corners to round the right edge of the heart.
      • Once you're done with the right half, the heart is ready!

    What do you need
