Steps

1. 1 Lift the hamsters out of the cage and place them on the floor in different corners. Better to use small boxes.
2. 2 Empty the cage and discard all of its contents - sawdust and other debris. Clean the cage.
3. 3 Place a new sheet of paper in the cage and add sawdust. Place a piece of cardboard to split the cage into 2 pieces.
4. 4 Put the hamsters back in the cage. Now everyone has their own room. Don't forget to supply them food and water.
5. 5 Give your hamsters 24 hours to get used to the new scent.
6. 6 Remove the cardboard. Now hamsters shouldn't fight anymore.

Tips

• Make sure the hamsters are really fighting.Perhaps they are just being played.
• Dwarf hamsters fight to the death. This happens to hamsters of different ages. An older hamster will not tolerate a young one on its territory. In this case, you will have to place them in different cells. Wash your old cage to get rid of the young hamster scent.
• Do not let your hamster walk around the apartment unattended. He can get lost, eat the carpet, or bite into wires.
• Change food and water periodically.

Warnings

• Syrian hamsters cannot live together. They are solitary animals. They will just kill each other.
• Watch out for hamsters on the first day after removing the cardboard divider. Make sure they don't fight anymore.
