This article will show you how to make a copy of WeChat conversations on iPhone or iPad. You can then transfer them to another phone or tablet using the Chat History Migration feature, or save them to your computer.

Steps

Method 1 of 3: Chat Log Migration Feature

1. 1 Launch WeChat on iPhone or iPad. The application icon looks like two white speech clouds superimposed on each other on a green background. You can usually find it on your desktop.
   • In this method, we will teach you how to transfer your WeChat conversation to another phone or tablet. To do this, you will need a second phone or tablet.
2. 2 Tap I in the lower right corner of the screen.
3. 3 Please select Parameters.
4. 4 Tap General.
5. 5 Tap Chat log migration at the bottom of the menu.
6. 6 Tap Select chat historyto display a list of all your chats.
7. 7 Select the chat you want to copy. If you want to keep all your conversations, tap Select All at the very bottom of the list.
8. 8 Tap Further. A QR code will appear on the screen. To complete the migration, you need to scan this code with another phone or tablet.
9. 9 Log in to WeChat on another phone or tablet. Sign in with the same account as on your current iPhone or iPad. Make sure both phones or tablets are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
10. 10 Scan the QR code with your new phone or tablet. This is the first step in migrating chats. Scan the code by following these steps:
    • Tap I in the lower right corner of the screen.
    • Tap + at the top of the screen.
    • Tap Scan QR code.
    • Aim the viewfinder at the QR code. When the code is captured, a Done button will appear at the bottom of the screen.
    • Tap Ready... Your correspondence will be saved on your new phone or tablet.

Method 2 of 3: Create a copy on Windows

1. 1 Launch WeChat on your Windows computer. If the application is not yet installed, go to this link http://www.wechat.com/ru/ and click on "Windows download" (Download on Windows).
2. 2 Press ☰ in the lower left corner of the app.
3. 3 Press Make a copy and restore. After that, a window with the appropriate name will appear.
4. 4 Launch WeChat on iPhone or iPad. Make sure your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
5. 5 On the computer, you need to click Save to computer. After that, the "Save watch history to computer" window will appear on the iPhone or iPad.
6. 6 Tap Save all on your iPhone or iPad to start the save process.
   • If you only want to select some chats, tap Select chat history, mark the chats you want to save, then click Save.

Method 3 of 3: Create a copy on Mac

1. 1 Log into WeChat on Mac. If WeChat is not already installed, download it for free from the App Store.
   • To install WeChat, enter the app name in App Store... When you find it, touch Download, and then Install.
2. 2 Click on ☰ in the lower right corner of WeChat.
3. 3 Press Make a copy and restore.
4. 4 Press Save on Mac. After that, a new window will appear on the iPhone or iPad.
5. 5 Tap Save all on iPhone or iPad to start saving chats.
