Curry is a great spice mix that can be applied to most foods. There are many types of curries, including the popular Indian and Thai varieties. This article discusses how to prepare a dish using the Indian method. The following amount is calculated for 450 g of food.

Ingredients

Simple curry:

  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp. l. coriander
  • 1 tbsp. l. caraway
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1-1 / 2 tsp turmeric
  • No more than 1 pinch of asafoetida
  • Ginger

  • Garlic

Chicken curry:

  • 2 onions
  • ½ tsp anise
  • 1 tsp ground garlic
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 ginger root
  • Pinch of cumin
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp dhana powder
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp dry parsley
  • 1 tbsp. l. curry powder
  • Chicken pieces for four

  • 2 tomatoes
  • Greek yogurt (or bulk)
  • Some fresh mint leaves
  • Some dhana and fresh curry leaves

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Simple curry

  1. 1 Heat vegetable oil in a skillet until hot but not smoking.
  2. 2 Add coriander, cumin, chili powder, cardamom, cayenne pepper, turmeric and asafoetida to the oil.
  3. 3 Fry some ginger, onion and garlic in hot oil. Next, add whatever you want to eat and cook it, be it chicken, beef, or vegetables.
  4. 4 Eat delicious curry (with or without rice).

Method 2 of 2: Chicken Curry

  1. 1 Heat some vegetable oil in a saucepan. Add anise. Let broil until the oil releases the anise flavor.

  • Purchase asafoetida from an Indian grocery store. A tiny amount gives the curry an earthy, mushroomy flavor. This is the secret ingredientwhich most people don't know about.

  • Use very little asafoetida, as if you add too much it will taste bad.
