If you are looking for freshwater shrimp, we show you how to care for them and how to create suitable dwellings. Shrimp can live in a small aquarium, so they are often placed on a desk, office, or bedroom.
Steps
1 Rinse the aquarium under hot water for at least 2 minutes. Do not use soap or dishwashing liquid. Each shrimp should have 1 liter of water. That is, if you plan to have 12 shrimp, you will need a 12-15 L aquarium.
2 Add bedding - gravel, sand, or soil. Rinse the mat under boiling water before placing it in the aquarium.
3 Add plants. Shrimps love to live in plant leaves. Plants also saturate the water with oxygen. Plants serve as food.
4 Place some seashells or pebbles and fill the tank with spring water. The water must be filtered.
5 After a day or 2, add a few drops of Stress Zyme to the water. After 1 week, shrimp can be introduced into the aquarium.
Tips
- Plants need light to do photosynthesis. Avoid placing the aquarium in direct sunlight unless you want to boil the shrimp.
- Use small worms to feed the shrimp.
- Shrimps can live in the same tank as snails.
Warnings
- Cover the aquarium with a lid, as the shrimp can jump high.
- Do not use tap water. All the inhabitants of the aquarium will die.
- If you put shrimp in the aquarium right away, they can die.
