In this article, we are going to show you how to view the amount of memory used, as well as downloaded music and applications on iPhone.

Steps

Part 1 of 3: How to View the Used Memory

1. 1 Launch the Settings app. Click on the gear-shaped icon on the home screen.
2. 2 Tap General. It's at the top of the settings page.
3. 3 Click Storage & iCloud Usage. This option is located at the bottom of the screen.
4. 4 Tap Manage Storage in the Storage section. This is the first option on the page.
   • At the bottom of the page, there is information about iCloud storage. Remember, the files that are in iCloud are not stored in the iPhone memory.
5. 5 Scroll down the information page. You will see a list of all installed applications, and to the right of each application you will find the amount that it occupies in the smartphone's memory (for example, "1 GB" or "500 MB").
   • IPhone does not have a Downloads folder, so the size of downloaded files (such as documents) is included in the storage space that the application uses (for example, attachments in messages increase the space that the Messages application takes up).

Part 2 of 3: How to View Downloaded Music

1. 1 Launch the Music app. Click on the icon in the form of a multicolored musical note on a white background.
2. 2 Tap Downloaded Music. You will find this option under the "Recently Added" section.
   • You may need to click "Library" in the lower left corner first.
3. 3 Tap the option you want. Choose one of the following options:
   • Playlists
   • Performers
   • Albums
   • Songs
4. 4 Scroll down the page to view your downloaded music. On the page you will find all the songs that are stored in the smartphone's memory.

Part 3 of 3: How to View Downloaded Apps

1. 1 Open the App Store. Click on the icon in the form of a white letter "A" on a blue background.
2. 2 Tap Updates. You will find this option in the lower right corner.
3. 3 Click Shopping. You will find this option at the top of the screen.
4. 4 Tap My purchases.
5. 5 Browse downloaded apps. If you see the word "Open" to the right of the application, this application is in the smartphone's memory. If there is a cloud icon with an arrow next to the application, you downloaded this application, but you have already deleted it.
   • You can also tap Not On This iPhone at the top of the page to view apps you have purchased (or installed) but have already uninstalled.

Tips

• By default, iPhone does not have a Downloads folder.
