1 Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a nonstick skillet. Turn the stove on over medium to low heat. Add a small amount, no more than one tablespoon, of your choice of cooking oil. As soon as the fat sizzles slightly, the pan is ready.- You can use different types of cooking oil. Here are some options:
- butter or margarine;
- rapeseed or olive oil;
- bacon fat (this is useful if you cook bacon for breakfast in the same skillet).
- Do not break eggs directly into a hot skillet. If you do this, you may break the yolk or the eggs may not cook evenly. One more thing - you will not need to worry about which part of the pan the eggs are located in.
- If the eggs set on the far side of the pan, the whites will become a single thick "mass" rather than spreading all over the pan.
- Watch the edges of the proteins. The edges are usually thinner than the middle and roast faster. If you notice that the edges have already hardened, you can proceed to the next step, even if the middle is still a little runny.
- If you're determined enough, flip the eggs right in the skillet. To do this, push the pan away from you, and then jerk it toward you. Turn the eggs over in the air and return to the pan. it's complicatedso use a spatula if you are not a professional.
- Do not fry the other side for more than 10 seconds, this is important. You need to cook the eggs so that the eggs are hard enough so that the yolk is still runny.
Method 2 of 3: Fried eggs without turning
- 1 Start cooking the eggs as usual. Using this method, you can cook fried eggs without turning, and it will definitely turn out perfect. Even if you had problems before when you cooked it in the traditional way. Here's what to do:
- Heat the cooking oil (butter or similar) in a skillet over medium to low-medium heat.
- Break the eggs into a separate bowl before pouring them into the hot skillet.
- Tilt the pan to collect the eggs on one side. Once the eggs have set, place the skillet on the stove and cook for 1–2 minutes.
- 2 Add water and cover the skillet. Pour a tablespoon of water over the edge of the skillet. Cover the pan with a precisely sized lid. The water turns into steam and cooks the tops of the scrambled eggs. Thanks to this, a whip forms on the yolks, similar to how if you turned the eggs over.
- If you are frying eggs in a pancake pan with low sides, add water next to the eggs and cover the pan with a lid. The lid will keep the steam close to the eggs.
- 3 Steam the eggs for 1-2 minutes. The steam does not cook the top of the scrambled eggs as quickly as it would if it came into contact with the pan, so allow it to cook a little longer. The eggs are ready when a translucent film forms on the surface of the yolks, but inside they remain liquid.
- Make sure to reduce heat to prevent the bottom of the eggs from overcooking from the heat of the pan.
- If it seems to you that after 1–2 minutes the eggs are not yet ready, turn off the stove and leave the eggs in the pan to warm up the dish a little more.
- 4 Serve the scrambled eggs and enjoy. When using this method, scrambled eggs do not need to be turned over. Just remove the lid, be careful not to scald yourself with the steam, and transfer the eggs to a plate.
Method 3 of 3: Ideas for Serving Fried Eggs
- 1 Season the eggs with salt and pepper. Fried eggs themselves have a rich, creamy taste, but this does not mean that they should be eaten without seasonings. Salt and pepper are the most popular spices for eggs and complement the flavor perfectly. When serving eggs, place a salt and pepper shaker on the table.
- Some cooks like to season the eggs with salt and / or pepper in the pan. If you like, you can also sprinkle the top side of the scrambled eggs with seasoning before flipping them the first time.
- 2 Place scrambled eggs on toast. White or wheat bread toast goes well with eggs. The crispy crust of the toast favorably emphasizes the soft and delicate texture of the fried eggs. If you eat fried eggs, you can dip the toast in the runny yolk.
- You can serve crispy pancakes instead of toast.
- 3 Try hot sauce. Eggs have a natural mild taste, and the spicy seasoning begs to be paired with them. A hot sauce like Tabasco, added to scrambled eggs, turns a dish from ordinary to something very savory. Just don't add too much sauce.
- 4 Try unconventional condiments and herbs. If you're feeling adventurous, spice up your fried eggs with something a little off-the-shelf that is usually served for lunch. The spices and foods listed below give a typical egg dish a unique flavor. First, add a little spice; if you like it, feel free to add more!
- Dill;
- cayenne pepper (use powder thin grinding);
- basil;
- Sun-dried tomatoes;
- sturgeon or whitefish;
- caviar.
Tips
- Wear an apron, long sleeves, or gloves to avoid scalding yourself with cooking oil splashes. Never fry eggs naked, especially if you are using bacon fat.
- The pan should be well warmed up before you break the eggs into it. If you gradually heat the pan with eggs, the proteins will become "rubbery".
