This is a fun and very easy way to make cheap and delicious alcohol. This drink is not a substitute for beer or wine when you need to get a lot of cheap alcohol. All monetary investments in production equipment will not exceed 300 rubles, and ingredients for 4 liters of "wine" will cost 240 rubles. The strength of the drink is about 8-10%.The cost of 1 liter will not exceed 60 rubles, and you will not find such a price in any store! You can consume the drink approximately 2 weeks after preparation, but its taste will noticeably improve after 3-4 weeks of aging.

Ingredients

  • 830 ml white sugar
  • 1 pack of dry bread yeast (no "quick fit" mark)
  • 2 packs of Kool-Aid with your favorite flavor
  • 3.5 liters of water

Steps

  1. 1 Prepare ingredients and equipment.
    • You can find most of the equipment you need at home, and the bottles can be taken in containers for disposal or reused if you drink bottled water. You don't have to worry about hygiene after rinsing the bottles with dish soap and letting them sit in bleach for a few minutes.
    • Buy rubber tubes in Magnet for 240 rubles. They are used for icemakers. You can also find them at an aquarium store or any regular hardware store, but the price will be slightly higher there.
  2. 2 Disinfect equipmentthat you plan to use. Boil bottles, watering cans, and rubber hoses in a large pot of water for three minutes. This will kill any bacteria that may be on the equipment. If you skip this step, bacteria will spoil the yeast and / or wine.
    • Do not use a container in which you usually make sweet water, but rather take another one for this purpose.
  3. 3 Boil the waterto kill all bacteria. Measure out the correct amount of water using a jug or bottles. Fill a large saucepan with water and sugar. Once the water is hot, stir to dissolve the sugar. Then let the sugar water cool to room temperature.
  4. 4 Dissolve yeast. Mix half a glass of warm water (not hot, otherwise you will spoil the yeast) with a teaspoon of sugar and add a bag of yeast there. Let it sit for a few minutes and then stir gently. Now you can proceed to the next step.
  5. 5Use a clean watering can to fill the jug or bottles with chilled sugar water. Do not spill. Leave some space on top for some foam.
  6. 6 As soon as the yeast begins to react (foam forms), use a watering can to add it to the bottle. Add 4 more cups of warm water and shake again. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved and the yeast is stirring.
  7. 7 Find a safe place where bottles can be stored uprightfor example, a closet in a bathroom, a basement or a space at a writing desk. Take a balloon and poke several holes in it with a pin. Remove the cap from the bottle and pull the ball over the neck. Use a rubber band to tighten the neck of the bottle to hold the ball in place. Place the bottle carefully in a plastic bag that will collect any spilled drops. Place the bottle in the desired location and leave for two weeks until the balloon fills with gas. The ball is filled with gas, which seeps through the holes, but this does not allow air to enter and ruin the wine. This process of making alcohol is called fermentation.
    • If you are using a 2 liter bottle, instead of a balloon, you can loosely seal the neck of the neck, which will allow gas to seep out, but prevent anything from entering when the fermentation process comes to an end.
    • A conventional fermentation airlock can be used instead of a balloon. It costs about 100 rubles.
  8. 8 The drink will stop fermenting when the balloon deflates. Take out the bottle very carefully and do not shake it. At this stage, the drink has become alcoholic, but it is still "tasteless", not for everybody. (The drink will taste like vinegar if it is spoiled due to lack of sanitary precautions. One sip will make you feel sick, so you will immediately understand it). Wait a little more for the drink to acquire excellent taste.
  9. 9 Strain the dead yeast. A layer of dead yeast will remain at the bottom of the bottle. They are not poisonous, but they taste terrible.Place the bottle on a raised platform such as a table and another 4 liter bottle on the floor next to it. Use a rubber hose to make a kind of siphon and distill clean wine without sediment into a bottle on the floor. Try not to shake the wine too much. Remove the hose and pour out the rest when there is some wine and sediment at the bottom.
    • You can also strain the wine through a clean cloth.
    • It is not necessary to change the container; the process must be carried out only in order to get rid of the yeast sediment. It cloudy wine, spoils the taste and can cause diarrhea. Now you can be proud of a crystal clear 14% wine, even if it tastes like a shmurdyak!
  10. 10 Add two packs of Kool-Aid Powder into the poured bottle, cap it, then shake for a few seconds to mix thoroughly. Taste a little - it will probably be awful. Don't throw away the wine, as it will taste much tastier over time! If you add a little sugar, the taste will immediately become better, but it will take a little more time. Leave it in a second 4 liter bottle for a week or so, and check periodically to make sure no gas builds up inside the bottle. If this happens, it is enough to slightly open the bottle to release the excess, and then reseal it.
  11. 11 Transfer again after three weeks liquid in small water bottles. You will be able to fill 8 half liter bottles. Small bottles are much easier to hide and easier to drink from.
  12. 12 After four weeks or more, the wine will be ready to drink. Enjoy, and don't be afraid to tell others that you made it yourself!

Tips

  • Kool-Aid is used to add flavor to the drink. You can easily replace it with Gatorade or any other flavor.
  • Refrigerate the wine for several days before pouring it. The yeast will settle to the bottom, making it easier for you to pour the wine.
  • After the wine is ready and poured, check the bottles every week to make sure it hasn't fermented. If the bottle is slightly swollen, you need to open the lid, release the gas and reseal it. Store your wine in the refrigerator to avoid this problem.
  • Wine is usable within two months, but it is best consumed between 30 and 60 days.
  • To increase your alcohol content, use more yeast. Some stores sell special turbo / distillation yeast that produces about 20% alcohol.
  • The drink will not get stronger if you increase the amount of sugar and yeast. The yeast dies when the ABV reaches 10%, and the extra sugar just makes the drink sweeter. If you want to get a very strong drink, you need to design a distillation apparatus. This is a much more complicated and dangerous process, especially if you make a mistake. This process is called moonshine, and you've probably heard stories about how fires break out and machines explode. It is perfectly legal to produce mash (beer and wine), but it cannot be sold without the appropriate excise stamps. At the same time, the distillation of alcohol (alcohol) is illegal both for sale and for production for personal consumption.
  • "Aging" is considered a major problem in home production. After two months, you can already drink alcohol, after six it acquires a specific taste, after a year the drink is just excellent, and after five you have a question, why buy wine in a supermarket.
  • Regular sugar does not contain the trace minerals that are needed to keep the tremors alive. To improve their vitality, buy special nutrients or add a few pieces of raisins to the drink.
  • During the boiling process, the volume of two-liter plastic bottles will be halved. Keep an eye on them.
  • If you use the brewer's yeast Clean American Ale (available at any specialty store), the taste of the drink will be much more pleasant, without the bitter phenolic shade. Maintain the starter temperature between 20 ° C and 24 ° C to limit phenol production.

Warnings

  • Never close the 2 liter bottle with the original cap during the fermentation process, otherwise the pressure may cause the bottle to explode.
  • The drink will contain real alcohol, which has the same health risks as regular wine or beer. There will be no problem if you drink in moderation, but too much and / or frequent use can provoke serious health problems. Do not drink before driving, as alcohol slows down your reaction.
  • Add Kool-Aid over a sink or bathtub. Sometimes the "wine" can foam and spill, as is usually the case with Mentos and Diet Coke. The drink itself will not become smaller, as only the foam will flow out. However, spilled Kool-Aid can be difficult to clean, so do it over the sink!
  • In most regions of Russia, it is absolutely legal to make homemade wine, but it is prohibited to sell it. At the same time, no one cancels the law concerning minors. If you think problems may arise, study the laws before proceeding with production.
  • The fermentation smell is terrible.
