This article will show you how to restart your current game in Pokémon Platinum. While starting a new game is very easy, restarting it when you already have a save is a little more difficult as the game doesn't have a separate option to start a new game. However, if you press a few buttons, you will be able to start the game from the very beginning.

Steps

1. 1 Launch Pokemon Platinum on Nintendo DS or Nintendo 3DS / 2DS. Select Pokemon Platinum from the list of installed games on your console to launch the game and wait for the initial screen to appear.
2. 2 Press the keys at the same time ↑ + SELECT + B. Use the direction and action buttons on the DS / 3DS / 2DS console and press them as soon as the initial screen appears. Remember to press the buttons at the same time, not one at a time.
   • You will then be prompted to confirm that you want to delete the save file.
3. 3 Click on YES. Press "YES" again to confirm deleting the progress of the previous game and start over.
4. 4 Restart the game. Your previous progress will be deleted and you will start the game from the beginning.

Tips

• If you choose to start a new game, all of your previous progress will be lost and you will not be able to get it back.
• If the keyboard shortcut to restart the game does not work, make sure that in addition to the buttons ↑, SELECT and B you don't press anything else.
