In this article, we are going to show you how to edit your TikTok profile on Android or iPhone / iPad. Editing refers to changing the display name, photo, 6-second video, and social media links.

Steps

1. 1 Open TikTok and click on the profile icon . It looks like a silhouette of a person and is located in the lower right corner of the screen ..
2. 2 Tap Edit profile. This large button is in the center of the screen.
3. 3 Add your profile photo. It will represent you on TikTok. To select or take a new photo:
   • Click on "Profile Photo" in the upper left corner.
   • Tap “Take Photo” to take a photo of yourself with your device's camera, or tap “Select from Photo / Camera Roll” to select a photo from your device's memory.
   • Give TikTok access to your photos and / or camera if needed.
   • Follow the onscreen instructions to crop and save your photo.
4. 4 Add a profile video (instead of a photo, if you like). To do this, create a 6 second video. When TikTok users watch your profile video, chances are they will follow you to see your other videos. To create a profile video:
   • Click "Profile Video" in the upper right corner.
   • Give TikTok access to your photos if needed.
   • Select a video in the device memory.
   • Move the sliders on either side of the video to select a 6 second clip.
   • Click Finish to save your new video.
5. 5 Click on your display name to change it. It's on the first line at the top of the page. When you've entered your new display name, click Save in the upper right corner.
6. 6 Tap your TikTok ID to change it. It's on the second line next to the person's silhouette icon. The ID can be changed every 30 days. Click "Save" in the upper right corner to save your changes.
   • If the entered name is taken, you will be prompted to choose another one.

   Note: If your display name or ID is grayed out or you can't select it, it's likely you've changed it recently.

   
   
7. 7 Edit your details. Click on the current details or on "No biography" and then enter your personal details. Now click "Save" in the upper right corner.
   • Try to write a bio that attracts new friends and subscribers, but refrain from spamming and / or promoting other sites.
8. 8 Click on Instagramto link TikTok to Instagram. Now log into Instagram and give TikTok access to your Instagram account. Your Instagram username will be added to your TikTok profile.
9. 9 Click on Youtubeto link TikTok to YouTube. Follow the onscreen instructions to log into YouTube and link your channel to TikTok. A link to your YouTube channel will be added to your TikTok profile.
10. 10 Click on Twitterto link TikTok to Twitter. Be aware that this will require an Asian version of TikTok. Log in to Twitter to link to TikTok.

11. 11 Click on Save. This button is in the upper right corner. The changes made to the profile will be saved.
