1 Chill champagne in the refrigerator or in a bucket of ice or cold water.Tips
- Only the dominant hand should move, the other hand should firmly hold the cork.
- Do not open an uncooled bottle, or you will flood both yourself and your guests with foam.
- The less loud the sound, the better. This will mean that the champagne has been chilled enough that the fountain of fizzy drink will not rise.
Warnings
- Do not remove the bottle from your hip until the cork has fired, as the bottle may fall and break.
- Do not direct the traffic jam at guests - this can lead to injury.
