Netflix has a variety of service packages for you to choose from. The most expensive service plan allows you to watch movies in HD and Ultra HD quality, as well as more devices being used at the same time. If you use iTunes to pay for Netflix, you will also have to change the service plan through iTunes.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Using a website (Standard payment)

1. 

   Log in to Netflix and go to the "Account" page on your computer. You can access it directly by this link.
   • Even if you are not using Netflix on your computer, you still need to visit the website to change the account. You cannot change your Netflix service plan from a streaming device or game console.
   • If you pay Netflix with your iTunes account, please see the next section.

   Click the Profile button in the upper right corner and select your primary account. You must be logged in to your Main Profile to change the service pack.

   Look for the "Service Pack Information" section. This section will display the package you are currently using.

   Click on "Change service plan" next to the current package display to view other service plan options. In many countries, you can choose between 3 packages: the one-screen basic pack in standard definition (SD), the two-monitor pack that can play in Full HD (1080p), and the four-monitor pack with Full HD (1080p) and Ultra HD (4K) modes playable. Each service pack is more expensive than the previous one but allows users to be viewed on many different devices at the same time.
   • Netflix recommends a 3.0 Mbps connection speed for SD quality, 5.0 Mbps for HD quality, and 25 Mbps for UHD.
   • Not all service packages are available in all countries.

   Select the desired service pack and click "Continue" This step will install your account into the new service corner. Changes will be charged at the beginning of the next billing period, but you will have access to the new feature immediately.

   Add or change DVD service pack (US only). If you live in the US, you can subscribe to DVD rentals from Netflix as well as their streaming service. This utility is operated by Netflix affiliates and is not available to users outside the US.
   • Click on the link "Add DVD rental service" to view available packages. You will be taken to the DVD rental packages website.
   • Select the service pack you want to add. Once you've added the package, you can begin to receive the DVD that was sent.

Method 2 of 2: For iTunes users (Pay with iTunes)

1. 

   Open iTunes on your computer. If you use iTunes to pay for Netflix, the change to the service package will be done on iTunes, not the Netflix website.

   Click the "Sign In" button at the top of the iTunes window. If you are already logged in, you can skip these steps.

3. 

   Enter your Apple ID and password. Make sure it's the Apple ID that you used to pay for Netflix.

   Click your Profile photo in the top right corner and select "Financial information.’ This step will open your account page on iTumes. You will be asked to enter your Apple ID and password again.

   Find the "Register" item and click "Manage.’ This step will let you change subscription information in iTunes, including Netflix.

   Select the package you want in the "Renewal options" section. You will be asked to confirm the change you made. The change will take effect on the next billing bill.
   • In many regions, you will have three service pack options: the one-screen base package in standard definition (SD), the two-monitor pack that can play in Full HD (1080p), and the four-screen bundle. The picture can be played in Full HD (1080p) and Ultra HD (4K) modes. The more expensive the service plan, the higher quality video you will be able to watch and more devices at the same time. Not all service packages are available in all countries and regions.
   • Netflix recommends a 3.0 Mbps connection speed for SD quality, 5.0 Mbps for HD quality, and 25 Mbps for UHD.
   • If you started to register before October 5, 2014, there will only be 2-monitor package option. To get full access to all service packages, you must cancel your membership and register again. If you register for membership after October 5, 2014, you will see all available service packs.
