1 Opening a toggle switch with a bump. Bumping is a quick, simple burglary technique, useful when you need to open a door that has been locked for a long time (such as the door of an unused home owned by a family), or when you need to get into an elderly relative’s home to make sure it’s okay.

• Mastering bumping does take some practice, especially with cheap locks that can be damaged, so don't use it for no good reason.

2 Find the LOCKPICK. This is the key that matches the lock that needs to be opened, but does not open it. by itself... Provided that the key fits into the lock, you can make a master key from it by reducing each cut to the minimum acceptable depth.

• Most reputable locksmiths won't make a lockpick for you, but you can find them on the Internet at times. To make it yourself, you need a metalworking tool and a little patience.

3 Insert the pick into the lock up to the last pin. Locks with a pin and toggle system consist of a cylindrical segment that rotates as soon as the pins inside it line up and no longer block its movement. Each slight click you feel as you insert the key into the lock is the pin being lifted by the lock's teeth and then recessed into the slot below it. Insert the pick until there are no pins left that have not been lifted.

4 Hit the pick and turn it. Use a small rubber mallet or similar object to hit the pick hard and turn it immediately. Since the pins are located in two sections inside the lock, the impact movement transfers the force to the lower section (which is at rest inside the toggle switch), which directs it further to the upper section (which keeps the toggle switch from moving). If, as a result of this movement, all the pins of the upper section lift properly, you will be able to open the lock.

• It may take several tries to get the synchronization you want, so keep trying until you get it.

Method 2 of 6: Using a Lock Opener Kit

1. 1 Use a set of picks to open the lock. This is a specific skill that requires a lot of practice and is usually only taught conscientious locksmiths. The sale of such sets, respectively, is carried out only to persons who have the proper certificates, but by connecting ingenuity, you can use the trick to acquire your own copy of the set.
2. 2 Make your own tools. For weak locks, a couple of paper clips are also suitable. Stronger locks will require bobby pins, wire cutters, and pliers. The key is to use metal that is strong enough for your lock pick and an L-shaped key, two of the main elements of the tool.
   • Spring steel is best because it is quite crack resistant and can be filed. Try using a hacksaw blade to pick a lockpick. Just decide on its thickness, because the size of the locks into which the master key can enter depends on this.
   • The tension key is L-shaped and is used to apply pressure to the bottom of the lock. It can be made from a hex key, flattening it.
   • The pick itself has shorter sides and resembles the lowercase English letter “r”. It is used to push the pins out of the toggle switch so that it can turn.
3. 3 Insert the L-shaped key into the lock. Press it down on the bottom of the lock and maintain constant pressure throughout the entire picking process. Failure to do this will take longer to get to work and may have to start over from the beginning.
   • If you are not completely sure how and in which direction to turn the L-shaped key, insert it into the lock and turn it in one direction. Remove the master key quickly, listening carefully to the sounds of the lock. Having made the right turn, you will definitely hear the lowering of the pins.
4. 4 Insert the pick over the L-shaped key. Use the pick's hook to locate and move each pin from the toggle switch. Once all the pins are lined up correctly, the lock should open.As mentioned earlier, it takes a lot of practice to master this skill, so train on cheap locks to develop good abilities.

Method 3 of 6: Using a Hex Key to Open Interior Doors

1. 1 Open interior doors with a hex key. Most of the lockable interior doors made in the last few decades are equipped with a special doorknob that allows the door to be opened in case it was accidentally locked. If the doorknob has a small, round hole in the center, this is the type of handle.
2. 2 Find or buy a set of hex wrenches. Hex keys, or “hex keys,” also called “Allen keys,” are usually available at most hardware and household stores for less than the cost of expensive coffee. These are small, L-shaped pieces of metal, available in a variety of metric and imperial sizes.
3. 3 Insert the long end of the hex key into the hole on the door handle. You may have to try a couple of different sizes to find the right one, but this is usually pretty obvious. You will need a fairly snug fit, but do not scrape with a key in the handle or bring it to the point of jamming. If you push the key directly, twisting it back and forth slightly, you can feel it hitting the hole.
4. 4 Turn the key to open the door. When the key enters the handle, a simple twist should open the door. This does not require much effort.

Method 4 of 6: Using a Credit Card to Open Doors

1. 1 Open simple locks with a credit card. This popular trick works less and less with modern doors, but it's still a convenient way to get into your home with an old door without keys.
   • Laminated cards work best. You will need a flexible (like a gift) card that you do not mind damaging. Sometimes the card gets pretty serious damage and stops functioning.
2. 2 Insert the card into the doorway. Slide the long end of the credit card between the door frame and the locking side of the door, just above where the lock fits into the opening.
   • Pull the card down and place it behind the latch of the lock. Make sure the card is perpendicular to the door.
3. 3 Slowly but surely pull the card towards you while turning the handle. If you're lucky, the credit card will slip between the beveled inside of the latch and the doorframe, and you'll be able to slide the latch out of the opening by dragging the card in your direction. The door will open while you hold the card in the space between the latch and the hole.
   • Obviously this trick will not work if the bolt is in place. The bolts do not have a beveled side. Fortunately, you cannot slide the bolt from the outside without the keys.

Method 5 of 6: Opening the car door

1. 1 Open the car doors. Although the use of “blade keys” (special metal tools for gaining access to a closed vehicle) is generally illegal, it is possible to make a tool from a rigid metal hanger. If the keys are locked in the car, and a store or friend with a hanger is nearby, you can avoid the hassle and waiting of a locksmith or road support service.
2. 2 Unscrew and align the hanger. Do not touch the hook-shaped top, but twist the so-called “neck” out of it and line up the rest of the hanger. This will create a long metal tool with a hook at the end.
3. 3 Lift up the sealing rubber strip at the bottom of the driver's door window. Insert the end of the hanger between the sealing tape and the bottom of the window. The hanger is now inside the door.
4. 4 Wiggle the end of the hanger and feel for the latch. The latch should be located no more than a few centimeters below the window, near the inner lock.
5. 5 Hook and pull the latch. Grasp the latch with a hook and pull towards the rear of the car. This should open any hand-locked car door.
   • If your door is equipped with a push-button electronic unlocking mechanism, you can insert the straight end of the hanger into the door and use it like a finger to press the button.

Method 6 of 6: Using brute force

1. 1 Knock down the door. In an emergency, sometimes there is only one option - to knock down the door. Keep in mind that this can damage the doorframe, lock, and usually the door itself. Compared to other methods, alas, it is also dangerous physically, so use this only as a last resort.
   • Take a stable position. Stand directly in front of the door, feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. If you can, place your hands against a wall, furniture, or other object that is unlikely to move under the force.
   • Raise your dominant leg and bend at the knee. Lift your knee up and pull your lower leg behind it. Keep your foot directly opposite the door. Do not turn sideways and do not invent other nonsense.
   • Hit the door lock with the sole. This type of blow is sometimes referred to as "straight". Straighten your leg in front of you so that the sole hits the area of ​​the lock mechanism.
   • It is safer to strike with your foot. The foot is designed to absorb a lot of force, and the shoe is your extra armor. SHOULD NOT BEAT ON THE DOOR! You will most likely dislocate your shoulder rather than open the door.
   • Keep hitting until you knock the lock out of the door frame. With enough time, you can knock out just about any wooden door.
   • If you don't see results within minutes, you may be dealing with a reinforced door or frame. Alternate resting and hitting to keep them from getting weaker.
2. 2 Knock out stubborn doors with a battering ram. If for any reason you prefer to use a ram rather than call a locksmith, a ram made from a hand pile driver used to drive posts into the ground will be quite effective.
   • Buy a manual pile driver. It should be about a meter long and have elongated handles on the sides.
   • Fill the pile driver with cement completely or half. Allow the cement to dry completely before using.
   • Use a lateral throwing motion to direct the ram into the door and into the area of ​​the lock mechanism. Standing perpendicular to the door, swing the ram, holding it with both hands, and then bend over and hit the door with a battering ram. Most doors will open after a few knocks.
   • Keep in mind that the door will most likely collapse completely and require replacement.

Tips

• Always start with the least aggressive methods. If you can open the door with a credit card, there is no need to pick a lock or grab a homemade battering ram.
• Call a professional if possible. No one truly replaces the locksmith (or the landlord with his copy of the key) when you find yourself locked in the house. The best and safest way to open a locked door is to get to the phone and call someone who has professional door opening skills.
• Practice. If you want to be able to open doors by bumping or using a set of lockpicks, you will have to practice a little to develop your skills. There is no better teacher than experience!

Warnings

• Hacking something that doesn't belong to you is aggressive and highly illegal. Do not do that.
• In some areas, it is also illegal to carry door-opening equipment. Depending on the mood of the police officer, you may even be arrested, including for carrying homemade equipment. Do not use such devices unless absolutely necessary.
• Don't try to kick the door with your shoulder. This only works in movies.
• Do not shoot locks with any weapon. This is more likely to result in a potentially fatal ricochet than any successful outcome.In addition, the likely dent from a shot can lead to irreparable jamming of the lock.
• If you are locked in a rented space, call the watchman, manager, or landlord before trying to break the door. Most likely, one of them will have a spare key with which they will open the door, and breaking into a rented property can be perceived ambiguously from a legal point of view, especially if it has resulted in property damage.
