Method 1 of 2: On an iPhone or iPad

  1. 1 Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Control Center.
  2. 2 Tap the AirDrop button: to the right of the central part of the Control Center.
    • One of the following states will be displayed under the word "AirDrop":
      • Switch off;
      • For contacts only;
      • For all.
  3. 3 Tap Disable to disable. AirDrop. Until you turn it back on, your device will not receive photos or other data via AirDrop.

Method 2 of 2: On Mac
