This article will show you how to free up memory on your Android device by clearing your app cache.

Method 1 of 2: How to clear the entire cache
- 1 Open "Settings" Android . You will find this app on your home screen or app drawer.
- 2 Tap Storage. It's under the Device section.
- On some models, this option may be referred to as "Storage & USB Drives".
- 3 Click on Cache. The "Clear Cache?" Window opens.
- If this option is not in the Storage menu, go to the Internal Memory section and look for the Cache option.
- 4 Tap OK. Application data that is in the cache will be deleted.
Method 2 of 2: How to clear the cache of a specific application
- 1 Launch the Settings app . You will find this app on your home screen or app drawer.
- 2 Scroll down and tap Applications. A list of all installed applications will open.
- 3 Click on the app. Information about the application will be displayed.
- 4 Click on Storage. This is the first menu option.
- 5 Click on Clear cache. The cache of the selected application will be cleared.
- Repeat these steps to clear the cache of other applications.

Warnings
- Clearing the cache will reset your settings in some applications.
