• What do you need

1 Take a piece of paper. In the lower right quarter, draw nine dots as shown in our picture.

• The points must be equidistant from each other. Use borderless paper.
• If you want, you can draw dots in one color and connecting lines in another.

2 Draw four lines as shown in the demo image. Start at a point in the lower right corner.

• Noticed fourth points bottom left and top right? Try to think outside the box to solve the problem!
• Start at the bottom right corner, move left and stop at fourth point.
• Then move diagonally to the right and up to connect the two existing points, and then stop at the fourth imaginary point in the upper right corner.
• Drop down to the starting point.
• Move diagonally to the left and connect all nine dots (plus two additional ones).

3 Ready. A real masterpiece. Can your friends do that?

Method 2 of 2: Internal Lines

1. 1 Draw the diagram following the directions from the Outer Lines method above.
2. 2 Start at the top right point. Move the handle to the far right point.
3. 3 Move to the center point along the same line. The conditions do not prevent you from moving the handle along a line that has already been drawn.
4. 4 Move to the center point, then left and right to draw a third line. Return to the center point.
5. 5 Extend the second line down to the midpoint from the bottom.
6. 6 Move the handle left and right to complete the fourth line at the bottom. Ready!

Tips

• This is a great puzzle for an evening with friends that can be combined with other team time challenges.
• First, ask your friends to solve this problem, and then surprise them with your answer.
