• What do you need

1 Draw a circle and an oval below it that overlaps the circle.

2 Add a small circle on the left side of the drawing for the head and draw the neck using curved lines that connect to the torso.

3 Draw the legs of the turtle using rectangular shapes.

4 Draw the eyes using a small circle and curved brow lines.Add a curved line for the mouth.

5 Draw the tortoise shell based on the circle you drew earlier.

6 Draw the torso and legs based on the construction path.

7 Draw a pattern for the tortoise shell using squares and arcs.

8 Erase unnecessary lines.

9 Color in the drawing.

Method 2 of 4: Realistic Turtle

1. 1 Draw an oval for the torso.Add a small circle for the head.
2. 2 Draw the legs using shapes that look like a curved rectangle.
3. 3 Based on the outline, draw the tortoise shell.
4. 4 Draw some hexagons that will be part of the turtle shell pattern.
5. 5 Finish the shell pattern by adding some lines.
6. 6 Draw the head and eyes.For the eyes, draw a small circle. Inside it, add two arcs and a smaller circle for the pupil.
7. 7 Draw the legs along the outline that you made earlier.
8. 8 Draw small square patterns on the tortoise's torso.
9. 9 Erase unnecessary lines.
10. 10 Color in the drawing.

Method 3 of 4: Green Turtle

1. 1 Draw an oval with a sharp edge on the left for the head.
2. 2 Draw a large oval for the torso and carapace.
3. 3 Draw an arc inside the large oval.
4. 4 Draw three ovals attached to the body for the legs.
5. 5 Based on the outline, darken the necessary lines and add the eyes and mouth of the turtle.
6. 6 Add details to your turtle such as stripes and a shell pattern.
7. 7 Erase unnecessary lines.

Method 4 of 4: Snapping Turtle

1. 1 Draw a large oval for the tortoise's shell and body.
2. 2 Draw a semi-trapezoid behind the large oval for the head.
3. 3 Draw three rectangles under the carapace. Add small claws.
4. 4 Draw a large, connected, curved line for the tail.
5. 5 Most snapping turtles have spikes on their shells. Draw three sets of thorns on the carapace.
6. 6 Based on the outline, sketch out the entire body of the turtle. Add eyes and mouth. Add wrinkles to complete the tortoise's torso.
7. 7 Add details such as the shell pattern and skin texture.
8. 8 Erase unnecessary contour lines.
9. 9 Color your snapping turtle!
