Carambol is one of the strangest fruits in appearance. In English, the name comes from the word "star", as the fruit looks like it. It is a golden yellow fruit with a smooth skin. Carom is often used sliced to decorate salads and fruit dishes.
Steps
1 Wash the fruit in cold water and remove any debris from the fruit.
2 Slice the fruit wide to create small stars.
3 You can use them to decorate salads, fruit dishes, or simply eat them!
Tips
- After slicing, wash your hands so that if you accidentally touch your eyes, you do not feel a burning sensation.
- If you want to make the fruit sweeter or to bring out its aroma, lightly salt (salt, and do not use sugar).
- Place fruits and strawberries in dessert bowls, add sugar. Such a dish will be elegant enough even for a family dinner.
- You can use carom in almost any dish!
Warnings
- Like all citrus fruits, starfruit contains acid, so take care of your eyes and open wounds.
- Be careful when handling the knife.
- Do not let children use the knife without adult supervision.
