In this article, we are going to show you how to find friends on Tik Tok on iPhone and iPad. This can be done by username or QR code. You can also find friends through Facebook or iPhone contacts.

Steps

Method 1 of 4: Username

1. 1 Launch the Tik Tok app. Click on the icon in the form of a white musical note on a black background.
2. 2 Click the magnifying glass icon in the lower left corner. You will be taken to the search page.
3. 3 Enter your username or display name. Then press Find on your keyboard.
   • If you don't know the username, skip to the third or fourth section of this article.
4. 4 Review the search results. If you're in another tab (they appear at the top of the screen), such as the Music or Hashtags tab, tap Users.
5. 5 Find the friend you want to follow.
6. 6 Tap Add. The pink "Add" button will turn gray - this means that you have subscribed to the selected user.

Method 2 of 4: QR Code

1. 1 Ask a friend to display the QR code on the device's screen.
   • To do this, ask him to launch the Tik Tok app and tap the silhouette icon in the lower right corner.
   • Click on the QR code icon in the upper right corner (next to the three dots icon).
   • Wait for the code to be displayed on the screen. To save the code, click "Save Image".
2. 2 Click on the magnifying glass icon in the lower left corner. You will be taken to the search page.
3. 3 Click on the scanner icon in the upper right corner of the search bar.
4. 4 Scan your friend's QR code from your device. Make sure the code is displayed in the center of the screen.
5. 5 Tap Add at a friend's name.

Method 3 of 4: Contacts

1. 1 Launch the Tik Tok app. Click on the icon in the form of a white musical note on a black background.
2. 2 Click on the silhouette-shaped icon in the lower right corner.
3. 3 Tap the silhouette icon with "+". It is located in the upper left corner.
4. 4 Please select Search for contacts. A list of contacts who have Tik Tok accounts will open.
   • You may need to click "OK" first to give Tik Tok access to your contacts.
5. 5 Click on Add at the contact to follow the selected user.

Method 4 of 4: Facebook

1. 1 Launch the Tik Tok app. Click on the icon in the form of a white musical note on a black background.
2. 2 Click on the silhouette-shaped icon in the lower right corner.
3. 3 Tap the silhouette icon with "+". It is located in the upper left corner.
4. 4 Click on Find Facebook Friends. It's in the upper right corner. A message will open stating that you need to log in to Facebook.
5. 5 Tap Proceed. You will be taken to the Facebook login page.
6. 6 Log in to Facebook. This will open a list of your Facebook friends who have Tik Tok accounts.
   • You may need to give the Tik Tok app access to your Facebook account first.
7. 7 Click on Add at a friend's name to subscribe to.
