The Tinder app is bundled with a Facebook account, so all basic information about you like name, age, and location is taken from Facebook. Tinder doesn't have the ability to update your location directly in the app, so you'll have to change your Facebook information.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Using a computer

1. 1 Go to Facebook. Go to your Facebook page in any browser.
2. 2 Log in to your account. Use the email address and password you provided when registering with Facebook to sign in. Data entry fields are located in the upper right corner of the page. Click the "Login" button to continue.
3. 3 Review the Information page. After entering the site, the News Feed will open. Click the “Edit Profile” link under your name and profile photo in the upper left corner of the page to see the “Info” page, which will allow you to view and edit your profile information.
4. 4 Click the Places Where You Lived link in the menu on the left panel. The city of residence, hometown and other places where you lived are indicated here.
5. 5 Add space. Just below the Hometown line, click the “Add a place” link. A small window will appear for recording a life event. Here you can enter a new location and other information.
   • Enter the new address and click “Save” in the lower right corner of the window. Your new place of residence will be added with the event and indicated in your profile.
6. 6 Start Tinder. Find the app shortcut in the form of a flame on an orange background. Click the shortcut to open Tinder.
   • The new location you changed on Facebook will be displayed automatically after you sign in to your Tinder account.Open the app on your mobile device and start looking for new couples in a new place.

Method 2 of 2: Using a mobile app

1. 1 Start Facebook. Look for the Facebook app shortcut with a small white “f” on a blue background. Open the app.
2. 2 Go to the Information page. Click on your name on the top toolbar and this will open your Chronicle or wall.
   • Click on the “Information” field under your profile photo to see your details.
3. 3 Find the places where you lived. One of the data blocks indicates the city of residence. Find the field “Lives in” and click on it. The Places Where You Lived section will open. Your city of residence, hometown and other places will be indicated here.
4. 4 Add a city. At the top of the Host city block, click the “Add city” link. Then a screen for recording a life event will open. Here you can enter a new location and other information.
   • Enter a new address and click the “Create” button at the bottom of the screen. Your new place of residence will be added with the event and indicated in your profile.
5. 5 Close Facebook. Press the Home or Back button on your mobile device.
6. 6 Start Tinder. Find the app shortcut in the form of a flame on an orange background. Click on the shortcut to open Tinder.
   • The new location you changed on Facebook will be displayed automatically after you sign in to your Tinder account. Open the app on your mobile device and start looking for new couples in a new place.
