Today we will teach you how to play the card game "five hundred" or simply "500". This game is played by four players, you need 1 deck of cards.

Steps

  1. 1 You need to find 3 more people to play. Divide into 2 teams of 2 people. Sit across from your partner.
  2. 2 Remove all deuces and threes from the deck. You also need one joker.
  3. 3 Deal the cards. First, give 3 cards to the player to the right of the dealer. Then deal three cards each to the other players. Next, put 3 cards on the table. Then repeat the same thing, but two cards each (first 2 cards to the player on the right, then to everyone else, then again 2 to the table). After that, deal cards only to the players and do not put cards on the table - first deal three, then two. It should look like this - each player should have 10 cards in their hands, and there should be five on the table.
  4. 4 Start the game by bidding. It's a little tricky. There are 4 suits in the game. Worms cost the most, then diamonds, clubs and, accordingly, spades. The player to the right of the dealer starts. For example, he declares that he will be able to take 7 bribes, while it is necessary to indicate the suit in which these bribes will be made (the bribe is taken by the player who laid out the highest card). If the player does not have strong cards, he can fold (he can also help his partner, imperceptibly making it clear that he has strong cards of a certain suit). The next player also bets. It must be higher than the previous one (you can also pass). No one can talk after the first bet has been made. For example, if the first player announced that he would take 7 tricks in tambourines, then the second player must declare 7 tricks in hearts or 8 tricks of any suit. This happens in turn (if no player wants to bet, the cards are re-dealt). The one who placed the highest bet takes the buy-in (5 cards in the center of the table). (Read tips)
  5. 5 The player who took the buy must lay back 5 cards. These can be the same cards or any others.
    • The player who took the buy starts to move first. Most often, they play with an ace of the usual suit (not trump), a joker or a very weak card.
    • Next comes the player sitting on the right hand. He must discard a card of the same suit. If there is no such one, then you can be like any other (the suit does not matter, but, in any case, watch the cards so that you can take the bribe later).

  6. 6 Then the game continues until there are only 4 cards left on the table.
  7. 7 Be aware that the winning cards are (in descending order): a) joker; b) the highest trump card; c) the highest suit of the card on the table. The person who threw the winning card takes all the cards from the table (bribe) and makes the next move. (Read tips)
  8. 8 The game continues until the cards run out. Count how many tricks were taken by the player who made the bet (who had a buy-in) and his partner for two.If they scored the same amount as they bet or more (for example: the bet was 7 tricks in tambourines, and they collected 8 tricks), then they won their bet (7 tricks in tambourines). If they did not take as many bribes as they announced, then they lost the bet (points for the bribe are deducted). (Read tips)
  9. 9 Keep playing until one of the teams reaches 500 points.

Tips

  • A game without trump cards is when there are no trump cards in the game, and each card is equal to its own face value. Usually such a game can be announced by the owner of the joker.
  • (for step 4)
  • The suit announced in the last bet (the suit named by the player who took the buy-in) is considered a trump card. It is now the highest suit in the game. The rest are irrelevant.
  • Remember that you can end the game with a negative score.
  • (for step 9)
  • The order of the cards of the non-trump suit is as follows (from highest to lowest):

ace, king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4.

  • Bribes: spades, clubs, diamonds, hearts, non-trump cards
  • six tricks: 40, 60, 80, 100, 120
  • seven bribes: 140 160 180 200 220
  • eight bribes: 240 260 280 300 320
  • nine bribes: 340 360 380 400 420
  • ten bribes: 440 460 480 500 520
  • The order of the cards of the trump suit is as follows (from larger to smaller, for example, tambourines are a trump card): joker, diamonds high card (in the first place is the jack of the trump suit, then the jack of the same color with the trump suit, so if tambourines are a trump card, then the jack of hearts - also a trump card), ace, king, queen, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4.
  • When bidding, remember that the more bribes you bid, the better your bid. The best bet takes the buy-in.
  • Joker is the highest card. He beats all cards regardless of their suit.
  • The player across from you is your partner. You play together. For example, you won a bid and are trying to take as many bribes as you announced. All your partner's bribes are added to yours.
