Sometimes a beautiful view is so vast that it does not fit into the frame of one photograph. How to convey the beauty of the landscape, which is difficult to capture even with an eye? Take great photos with iPhone's panoramic shots.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Using iOS 7 and 8

1. 1 Open the Camera app. Tap the icon on the iPhone home screen to launch the Camera app. You must have an iPhone 4S or later. The iPhone 4 and 3GS do not have a panoramic option.
2. 2 Turn on panorama mode. Use your finger to scroll through the options until you see the PANO button. This is the panoramic shooting mode. You can use both front and rear cameras for shooting.
3. 3 Determine the direction. You will take panoramic shots by moving your phone either to the left or to the right to capture the entire view. By default, the camera will ask you to shoot to the right, but by touching the arrow, you can change the direction.
4. 4 Start shooting. Tap the photographic shutter button and start shooting panoramic shots. Move the camera slowly horizontally along the mark on the screen. Keep your phone level and firm, level at all times.
   • You can move as long as there is free space, or you can stop at any time by clicking on the image of the photographic shutter.
   • Move your phone slowly, letting the camera capture everything. This will prevent the picture from being blurred and unclear.
   • Do not move the camera up and down while selecting a suitable view. The iPhone automatically smoothes the edges, and if you move your phone too much, you'll just end up with a lot of cropped shots.
5. 5 Check out the snapshot. After completing the process, the panoramic image will be added to the Camera Roll folder. You can share a picture, edit it in the same way as regular pictures. For an even fuller panorama, turn your phone horizontally.

Method 2 of 2: Using iOS 6

1. 1 Open the Camera app. Tap the icon on the iPhone home screen to launch the Camera app. You must have an iPhone 4S or later. The iPhone 4 and 3GS do not have a panoramic option.
2. 2 Tap the Options button.
3. 3 Tap the Panorama button. This will activate the Panorama mode, a slider will appear in the viewfinder.
4. 4 Determine the direction. You will take panoramic shots by moving your phone either to the left or to the right to capture the entire view. By default, the camera will ask you to shoot to the right, but by touching the arrow, you can change the direction.
5. 5 Start shooting. Tap the shutter button and start shooting panoramic shots.
6. 6 Pan with the camera. Slowly frame your subject, keeping the arrow on the screen as close to the center as possible. When finished, tap the Done button.
   • Move the camera as slowly as possible to avoid blurry photos.
   • Do not move the camera up and down while shooting, otherwise the image will not be of the best quality.
7. 7 Check out the snapshot. Your image will be saved in the "Camera Roll" folder. Tap the preview button in the lower left corner of the screen to preview it.
   • Turn your phone horizontally to see the entire panoramic shot.

Tips

• When taking panoramic photos, you can use focus and exposure settings. Tap the screen to mark the area where you would like to focus the shot.
• To get a good result, it is important to keep the iPhone at the same level at all times and keep the arrow on the panorama line.

Warnings

• If you move the camera too quickly when taking panoramic photos, you will receive a “Slow Down” message. Moving too fast will result in a blurry and blurry image.
