Learn how to sign up for a free trial Netflix plan in this article. Netflix requires a monthly fee, but the first month is free, and you can unsubscribe before that month to avoid unnecessary waste. Please note that you cannot use Netflix for more than one month for free. While it's technically possible to create multiple accounts and use Netflix for free for several months, it only works if you have multiple different payment methods.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On the computer

1. 1 Open the Netflix website. Go to https://www.netflix.com/en/ in your computer's web browser.
2. 2 Click on JOIN FREE FOR A MONTH (Sign up for a free month). It's a red button at the bottom of the page.
   • If Netflix is ​​logged into another user's account, use a different browser or sign out by hovering over the profile icon in the upper right corner and then clicking Sign out.
3. 3 Click on SEE THE PLANS (View Rate Plans) when prompted. It's near the bottom of the page. A list of tariff plans will open.
4. 4 Choose a plan. Since the first month is free anyway, keep the default plan (it allows you to watch HD videos).
   • If you plan to pay to use Netflix services, choose the cheaper plan.
5. 5 Scroll down and tap CONTINUE (Proceed). It's at the bottom of the page.
6. 6 Click on CONTINUE (Continue) when prompted. You will be taken to the account creation page.
7. 7 Enter your email address and password. On the top line, enter your email address, and on the bottom line, enter your password.

9. 9 Select a Payment Method. Typically, you can choose one of two options: bank card or PayPal.

10. 10 Enter your payment details. Even if you don't pay for the first month, you need to enter information about the payment method for the services that Netflix will provide you in the following months. Enter the cardholder's name, card number, card security code, and card expiration date.
    • If you selected PayPal as your payment method, sign in to PayPal on this page, and then follow the onscreen instructions to confirm your Netflix subscription.
11. 11 Click on START MEMBERSHIP (Start subscription). It's at the bottom of the page. This will subscribe to Netflix services, which you can use for free for a month.
12. 12 Cancel your subscription before you receive your Netflix bill. To avoid paying for subsequent Netflix services, cancel your subscription a few days before your free month expires. To do this on a computer:
