If you want your computer to read the text aloud, we will show you how to do it.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Setting voice settings
1 Open System Preferences.
2 Click on the Speech option.
3 Click on the text to speech tab.
4 Click on System voice.
5 Click on More Voices.
6 Select the voice you want to listen to.
7 Click on the Play button. Adjust the sound.
8 Choose the voice you like.
Method 2 of 3: The Shortcut
1 Open System Preferences / Speech / Text to Speech.
2 Check the box next to Speak Selected Text When Key is Pressed.
- A new window will appear.
3 Select the keyboard shortcut you want to use.
4 Select the text for the computer to read.
5 Press the set key combination.
Method 3 of 3: Using the mouse
1 Select the text for the computer to read.
2 Right-click on the selected text. Click on the Speech menu.
3 Click Start Speaking.
Tips
- You can right-click on the text and select Stop or Stop Speaking ..
- You can press the selected key combination again to stop reading the text.
- In system settings, you can set the time pronunciation and voice alerts.
Warnings
- Some people don't like it when the computer announces the time aloud all the time.
- Do not change settings on someone else's computer.
- Do not install a keyboard shortcut already in use.
