This is an article that will guide you on how to permanently delete your Instagram account. Once an account is deleted, all photos, videos, followers and other account data will be lost forever, and you cannot reuse the account name. Or, if you don't want to delete photos, you can disable your Instagram account.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On mobile

   Log in to your Instagram account. Enter your username (or email address) and password, and then tap Log in (Log in).

   Choose the reason you want to delete the account. Click the check box and choose the reason you want to remove the account.
   • If you don't want to give a reason, choose Something else (Other reason).

   Enter the password. Enter the password in the text input field again to confirm that you want to permanently delete the account.

   Click Permanently delete my account (Delete my account permanently). A window will appear asking you to confirm.

Advice

• Remember to download photos / videos you want to save before deleting your account.

Warning

• You cannot delete Instagram account and restore it. Your account will be permanently lost after deletion.
