- Once the cotton ball is underneath your lashes, apply gentle pressure so that the bottom of your lashes are pressed against the cotton ball.
- Always be sure to carefully and gently remove mascara. If you rub it too hard, your lashes will fall off easily and irritate the skin around your eyes. The product could also get caught in your eyes, and cause eye infection.
Use the mirror to check the process. If there is still quite a bit of mascara on your lashes or if the mascara is rather stubborn, continue to gently wipe the underside of your lashes with cotton balls.
- Remember to wash your face thoroughly with plenty of warm water.
Moisturizes the face to retain moisture. After washing your face, be sure to apply eye cream or moisturizer to your entire face, as makeup removers can dry out your skin.
Advice
- Buy lots of makeup removers and cotton swabs, so you always have them when you need them!
- Oil can cause eye irritation. Instead of applying oil directly to your lashes, put a little on a tissue or cotton ball and use it to gently remove the mascara.
