In this article, wikiHow will guide you through finding hidden images on Android smartphones. You can install and browse content using a file manager application with hidden file viewing. However, due to the difference between the Android file system and the file system on Windows or Mac OS X, it's impossible to view hidden files on an Android device using a computer.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Use ES File Explorer

1. 

   Google Play Store.
2. Click the search bar.
3. Type es file.
4. Press ES File Explorer File Manager in the list of results returned.
5. Press INSTALL (Install) already ALLOW (Permitted) if required.

    Find the hidden image. Go to the folder you want to find by clicking on its location (for example Internal storage) then click on the folder and find the hidden image.
    • User-hidden images may have a "." before their name (such as ". image" instead of "image").

Advice

• You can hide the picture on Android by renaming and adding dots in front. For example, a JPG image named "Hoa" ("Hoa.webp") will be changed to ".Hoa" (".Hoa.webp").

Warning

• The difference between Android operating system and a Windows or Mac computer is big enough that it's impossible to see hidden files on Android from a computer.
