This wikiHow teaches you how to set any sound file as your notification tone on your Android device.

Steps

1. 

   Copy the audio file to the Android device. You can use Android File Transfer to copy an audio file from a computer to an Android device, or download files from the Internet.

   Download a file manager app from Play Store. A file manager application that allows you to browse and edit folders stored on your device. You can browse in categories Tools (Tools) on the Play Store, or use the Search feature to find a suitable free / paid file application, such as File Manager, File Commander, and File Manager Pro.

   Open a file manager application. Find and tap the file manager app icon in the Apps list after downloading.

   Find the sound file you want to add as your notification tone. Use the file manager to find files in the directory Music (Music), or another folder you have saved.

   Copy or move audio files into folder Notifications (Notification). The file manager application will allow you to move or copy this audio file to any folder. After the sound file has been copied or moved into the Notifications folder, you can set it as the notification ringtone.
   • In most file manager apps, you'll need to long-press the audio file, then tap the three-dot icon at the top of the screen to see options. You will see the option to copy or move in this menu.
   • On most devices, you can find the Notifications folder in the section Internal Storage (Internal storage), but this folder may differ depending on the device.

   Open the Android Settings app. The Settings app with the gray gear or wrench icon is usually in the Apps list.

   Scroll down and tap Sound (Sound) or Sound & notification (Notice and sound). This menu allows you to customize all the sounds on your device, including alarms, notifications and ringtones.

   Click Notification sound (Notification sound). This option opens a list of all audio files in the Notifications folder.

   Select a new notification sound. Scroll down to find and tap the sound file you want to set as your new notification tone. When you click an option in the list, a short sound will play.

10. 

    Press the button Apply (Apply) is at the bottom of the screen. New notification sound settings will be saved.
    • On some devices, maybe the Apply button will be Done or OK.
