This article shows you how to open and edit PHP programming files on Windows and Mac computers.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On Windows

1. 

   , import notepad ++ and click Notepad ++ above the list of results.

   . Click the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of the screen to do this.

   Open BBEdit. You will enter bbedit, and then double-click BBEdit in the list of displayed results.
   • If this is your first time opening BBEdit after installing, click Open (Open) when prompted, then click tiếp tục (Continued) to continue the 30-day trial.

   Click File (File). This is the option in the upper left corner of the screen. You will see a list of choices displayed here.

   Click Open ... (Open). This option is available from the menu File is showing. A Finder window will open after this.

   Select the PHP file. Go to the directory where the PHP file is saved, and then click on it to select it.

   Click Open. This is the option in the lower-right corner of the window. This opens the PHP file in BBEdit; Now you can see the content of the PHP file.
   • You can also click Choose (Select) here.
   • If you have edited the PHP file, remember to save it by pressing ⌘ Command+S.

Advice

• Dragging and dropping the PHP file into a web browser (including Firefox) opens the PHP file's code. It's possible that the PHP file won't display properly, but at least you should be able to see the file's code.

Warning

• Always save a copy of the original PHP file before you make a change. Improper modification of the code can cause your website to stop working; So it's better to make one more copy.
